He sold out Team Melli ! And then Roma Sold him out to Lukako .

Now he get chos minutes in Roma and will probably get even less chos minutes when abraham the beast is back.

Roma didn't sell him out. If Azmoun starts to score, he will get more minutes and become a regular. He wasn't scoring at BL and too much of a risk. Lukaku is in a complete different class than Sardar or even Mehdi. And he is delivering. Sardar isn't. It's a catch 22 for strikers... need more time to score and need to score to get more time.

We’ve seen enough. 2 years, 6 goals. If anyone is waiting for the next club or coach, don’t waste your time. What coach will look at Sardar and an established goalscorer in top leagues and pick Sardar as his no.1? His only chance was to prove himself as soon as he got to Germany. He didn’t. Now he is 29… he is showing he can’t even produce in sub role and even physical issues.

His biggest mistake was moving to another big club!
A loan should have been to smaller team to establish himself!
I am not saying it was going to happen 100%, but it has been so far another disappointing season!

Silver lining of not having azmoun for group games is that we can experiment with having Taremi as a lone strike and then having ghoddos play as a CAM in 3-player midfield. Most likely though GN will play loser moghanlou or asadi alongside mehdi because for some reason we need 2 strikers against Hong Kong or Palestine

Our most likely starting XI is the one we had versus Uzbekistan. Except ARJ on right wing and one of Mohebi/Torabi on left wing.

Basically same thing as the game vs Bulgaria, we didn't have Sardar the neither. GN played a 4-2-3-1.

the email from IFF won’t be opened until tomorrow as today is a holiday in Italy (new year). Also have to be sure it’s pulled out of the spam folder by the hungover Roma IT intern (who partied too hard on New Year’s Eve). Lots of variables when dealing with the geniuses at IFF.

Some will say Cqs football is outdated and dont work good in todays football but as a manager he was elite and knew how to build a team. He invited every iranian from eu leagues which mostly consisted of Iranians born in Europe(GN, dej, davari, beita and saman etc.) but he also built a good team with many ipl players. The same players he gave a chance to are the same players playing today, its the main core of team melli. Its his team still, but he himself would probably replace some of these players or if not most of them with younger options.

1) go young and inexperienced
or
2) old and experienced

one option can maybe make us the champions now , the other would give new fresh faces for the Future TM and better options and opportunities for the players in the next World Cup ..

knowing the way GN operates, he doesn’t care about the future , he cares about the here and now ..

I personally see a team that can win all the group games , plus get to the QF with easy , I am just curious as everyone else to see how this team plays against a top ranked Asian such as S.Korea with a good coach such as klinsmann

the only thing that scares me is the depth of this squad is kinda low , you lose a Taremi or Ghoddos ,,, , then we are limited, we have no other options available to us……

i don’t blame Sardar…. He gave all he can sometimes players know when they done ..
He is a good player, but can he be a great player, a player that starts and plays 90 minutes at the highest level of European football , maybe or maybe not , …..

but GN didn’t do us any favors by his players selections at all , he could have selected someone that maybe would have been the next Sardar or Taremi,, or someone who would have been the next (khalizadeh or kanani) , but instead he went with washed up and oldest options he could ….

I dont think Omid ebrahmi or Karim ansarifared or rouzbeh cheshmi with all due respect should even me part of this squad anymore,…

What about a third option to go with a combination of old and experienced and young and energetic? This option would have required some knowledge of how to integrate the two and courage to take the risk and stand by your decision. Something CQ did and did well ..

Yes i disagree, Nour has been one of the best CM in TM!
He has been trusted as starter by 3 previous TM coaches, don't tell me all being coincidence!
1. He has huge edge in level of speed compared to other midfielders with exception of Ghoddos maybe
2. He run his ass off during game, he is all over cover lots of space.
3. He is no Nekounam or Ando on their prime but he has the profile to run a midfielder and not having him was huge mistake by GN
4. I can understand this selection if we had better option for what he does but he actually has unique profile!
Both Saeid and Saman are different players.
Now all pressure is on these two guys shoulders!
Good luck with one of the slowest midfielders ever!
Will be fun AC to watch!
