I was watching a Nikbakht interview and he said he was witness to a 5 million dollar offer for him from Barcelona but Khaziravi for whatever reason didn't go. I believe they had the same agent at the time and corresponded with Nikbakht having an offer from Marseille.
- Kazemian was the best and most explosive midfielder/winger that was under utilized in TM from 2003-2009 and had he gone to Europe at a young age he would have been a world class player at a big club
- Ando is our all time best CM…..better than nekounam and bagheri
- if we had an ability to bring in better foreign players and allow PGPL teams to have 7-8 players and every single team actually utilized their spots and brought in decent/good foreign players…….we would have had 2-3 different clubs win ACL’s between 2000-present
- if the Revolution never happened we would have hosted a WC, played in 10+ WC’s and made the semis once. And would have a league similar to Japan if not better.

I will add one more, Mohammadreza Khalatbari was a generational talent and one of the best players of the past 10-15 years in Iranian football. It was a tragic mistake he was not brought to the 2014 wc

Agreed really missed him as an impact sub at the least on the wing during those games we were locked into defending and depending on counters. He was greatly missed, and has one of the strongest and accurate close range shots I’ve ever seen from tight angles
Let's not forget
one the reasons tm failed in 07 ac was the fact
Ando and nekunam didnt know how to play with one o nother .when cq came they became peas and carrots .that 07 team had alot of talent...
Iran line up was crazy good

Who remembers a highly skilled and techincal Jonubi guy who used to play for Mes Kerman in the mid 2000s? That guy was a beast. A real baller. Not quite on AK8 level, but in my opinion atleast on Shojaei/Khalatabari level in their prime years. Unlike our typical irani technique though, the guy had also some brazilian flair on him.
He got banned for Doping afterwards and somewhat disappeared later on. I wonder what he could have become under the right circumstances.
Prime Hosseini was better than the over-hyped Rezaei imo. Still can't believe he played in Seria A.
Lollll not even close. Rahman Rezaei was definitely better. He was a tank for TM. Ppl only like to remember that foul vs Ireland or the Mexico game where it was mainly mirzapours fault but this guy was the best we've ever had in defence.
There's a reason he played in the strongest defensive league in the world, and one of the top 2-3 leagues during that time!
You think these seria A teams are insane to sign a defender that's not even as good as jalal hosseini? Loll Rezaei was definitely better
