First half analysis:

- haven’t seen much from Taremi. Jahanbaksh apart from the assist has been awful with horrible passes and Ezatolahi continues to show his horrible decision making and the fact that he’s washed.

- Moharrami has been absolute class down the right hand side and moved up much more than Hajsafi. Ghaedi shines in these type of matches and has been exceptional, he should be given the full 90 minutes. Karim scored the nice goal then has been quite.

- With the injury to Shoja , it should serve as a reminder to slowly start changing players to protect them. Taremi does not need to play anymore today, and Azmoun should not come on. I would change most of the attack since realistically anyone can score against this Palestinian team. I would also bring on Mohammadi and move Hajsafi to CDM to test it out becusde clearly Ezatolahi is a hazard.

Overall I watched this on paramount plus and the commentators could not say enough good things about Iran. Said that Iranian players are always physically very strong , in every position. That the passing play leading to the goals were all beautiful and precise. And that up until that goal Iran were flawless without any error. Also said that ever since Carlos there has been a strong unity instilled in the team that is clear and present to today.

in short, strong overall attack this half. Stupid goal conceded, and time to make changes to both keep important players injury free and test and final tactical plans

Completely agree. They're playing like animals, coming over the top of the ball. Ref needs to protect our players.

Also worried for Saeid and whether he has 90 mins in him anyway. I'd take Taremi and Saedi off at HT for Ebrahim and Mohammadi (at LB switching Hajisafi to CM) to sure up the midfield with Karim, ARJ and Ghaedi as a front 3 ... Also to avoid injury to those 2 and to keep the 2 sub windows.

We should have enough to score a couple more with that team anyway but let's keep a strangle hold on possession by winning the MF battle.

I'd maybe also take Kanani (coz of the yellow and Shoja injury) and Ghoddos off with 20 mins to go if we're still at least 2 up... So that we protect our key players.

Moharrami and ghoddos have been excellent. I don’t understand why people hate on Ezatolahi so much yes he fuxked up and made us get scored on but he’s the best midfielder we have in our squad along with ghoddos.
