I want pictures of all PFDC Ghaedino doubters in newly baught Ghaedi shirts, taken outside your local malls. With big cardboard sign saying "Mehdi Man Mazerat Mikham!" 😅😁💚

"He is too short, therefore he is not TM material" - Need a better argument than that. E.g. Messi, Shaqiri, Maradona for God's sake! Not saying start him every game but give the kid a chance. He can get in the gym and get stronger. Also IMO Khalatbari, in his prime, was robbed of an invite. He used to hustle non stop and always made significant, game-changing contributions.

... with two goals against indonesia he is now likely to get minutes in the first game...

Hichi digeh. I might as well start the blood pressure pills

Take a Beta-blocker because it will help your heartrate too for when Ezatolahi gets sent off for arguing vs Korea.

Lol, I didn't know we have all types of bigots in this board. Hatred for Arabs. Hatred for short people.
I guess Irooni's are no different with their variety of knuckleheads. Americans have more rednecks per capita than any other country I know. Wondering if we are far behind that?

There are so many slight in stature and short footballers (regardless of height) who have been successful in the top European leagues that the argument about height in football is absurd. USMNT relied on it too much (over skill and vision), until recently. Thank goodness some of the people here don't pick TM members.

That being said, I have no idea about Ghayedi, as I haven't seen him play. However, I couldn't care less about his height. I only care if he can contribute on the outside, and beat his man around the corner, consistently.

edited to add: I just watched some highlights of this kid.. I seriously don't get the hate. He is clearly one of the most talented dribblers and finishers we have on TM right now. Someone above said there are many such dribblers in the PGL; if that is true, then we have the most underrated league in the world.

He is slight of stature, and without a serious regimen to gain bulk, he wouldn't survive in any of the English leagues (from EPL down to the fourth division). But he could do well in La Liga, Liga Nos, or some of the less physical and more technical European leagues. I wonder why he was never picked up for Europe?

I'm most worried about Alireza because I want this to be his tournament but i've noticed him getting more and more all-over-the-show when emotional with Iran and often flirts with a card or two

Asian cups always have the normally chilled players losing it eg Mahdavikia. Not sure how many red cards Pooladi had before that either

They also need to fit a chastity belt or something onto Kanaani

The argument is, we have a poor selection of technical players that have the capability to one-to-two, dribble past a player or two, and score goals at tight angles. Hence why he is in the TM squad.

Considering Torabi, Jahanbakhsh, and Gholi will largely play the majority of games, I pose you the question, what is our Plan B or C on the wings without them or when they aren't performing? Would you like to play Omid Ebrahmi, or Cheshmi on the wings? Or perhaps a left-back?

Ghaedi is small, weak, and yes should be working harder in the gym to gain mass. Does that mean he should not be in our squad, no. Not under the current circumstances where we lack alternative players to play on the wing and can double up as a striker.

You are discounting context to justify his exclusion and your argument rests heavily on his size which I suggest is not too dissimilar to the statures of Khalatbari, Kaabi, and Khodadad.

And I liked many of CQ's decisions but he should have invited Khalatbari. And if I had to guess, given I do not believe he has spoken on the matter, behind his decision was his belief that Khalatbari was too short to play for him.
Bolded part - PLEASE NO. In fact, as much as we appreciate those players, they need to be off of TM. They shouldn't start. Ever.

Khalatbari should have been on CQs squad because he would have provided a counter-attacking outlet. He was skilled, fast, and quick with the ball. Of the highlights I have seen of Gaedi, he is more direct with attacking into the box, and can consistently beat 1-2 players for a shot or an assist. We need him. From what I see, we don't have another player on the current TM who has his technical ability.

Comparing Ghaedi to Khalat is a criminal offense
