Playing with ghayedi means you have 10 men off the ball. I’ve never seen him do anything in the defensive phase. In the offensive phase his decision making is generally poor and a lot of his 1v1 actions don’t work on most semi competent defenders (see his 1v1s vs Burkina Faso). And that’s even before getting to his physical deficiencies. If he had developed into an insigne like physique that would be one thing, he is just as skinny as when he first burst on the scene and clearly has done minimal to address this part of his game since joining uae league mall tour.
Ghayedi was in his peak around that bosnia friendly when he scored a beauty and was in great form with SS in ACL. At that time he should have gone to europe (eridivisie, portugal, AEK) and really developed his game...he chose UAE plus has a collection of garbage people around him, and has since stagnated and now even declined.

Discriminating on the basis of stature is not warranted for sure. But Khalat's technical ability, speed, passing, stamina, and tenacity defensively were significantly better than Ghaedi's today.
