Ghayedi > Mohebi and ARJ today in terms of passing and hustle. Credit where credit is due, I don't mind him starting versus Hong Kong. In general, I liked the choice of making Taremi a midfielder. 4-2-3-1 suits this team well and I hope we use this formation more going forward. If we can figure out the right winger situation it will be great, should give Gholizadeh a try.

The UAE Hong Kong game was actually very scrappy. UAE goal came from a PK. Hong Kong fight hard, they may not be as easy as we thought either. UAE only put the nail in the coffin in the last minutes. Should be a good win but not a walk in the park.

- Ideally make sure Kanaani gets a yellow so he serves his suspension against UAE and is ready for the knockouts (not sure if they actually carry over. I think they do?).
- Sub out Ghoddos, Eza and Mehdi as soon as the job is done.
- Rest Azmoun unless he is fit for this game, no reason to push him. Long tournament and need him for knockouts.
- Get Mohammadi some minutes so he's in form for knockouts.
- Play Gaedi in the group stages as much as possible against these weaker teams to make sure the starters are fresh for the knockouts. Maybe he can be in contention for the golden boot.
