"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Our finishing was atrocious.
Shahriyar couldn’t score a goal if his grandmother was the goalie.
Ramin falling in the box while trying to score (trying to get a PK?)
multiple shots in the box that flew into the stands and into orbit.
i hope to god this was our match to get out all our quarks and jitters. Would have been nice to really put the fear of god into the KO opponents. Let’s see how we look on Tuesday against UAE.

At least 2 more games left, let’s see what happens..
Lets see what happens but they showed today that this is certainly not a championship team.

Preserve your players, don't collect any cards, injuries and come away with a win. Although a tie would have also sufficed.
Next game is easy tie, lose, win makes no difference. But of course we have to see how other groups do.
We are in control.
We are in a very strong position to go all the way. Congratulations to the TM staff.
Going by the comments here though, I can see we fans have a long way to go yet

Despite our frustration with today's shitty performance, it's essential to recognize that teams, just like players, experience highs and lows.
Reflecting on the 2022 World Cup, even champions faced setbacks, the most prominent example was Argentina losing to KSA in their first game, yet went in to beat their next opponents reaching the final and beating the heavily favored French side, hence winning the title.
This serves as a reminder that adversity doesn't define the journey, it's the resilience and determination to overcome challenges that ultimately lead to triumph.

Nice try, but we have absolutely nothing to rebound and last long in this cup. No coaching, not a good squad, even our stars are completely off
Edit:
Hmmmm the image isn’t showing. Anyway it was this character from “The adventures of Gulliver”.
“We are doomed”
