Watching a video of a fan who was at the game, so many disgusting Hezbollahis in the crowd. They are such hideous looking people.
Thank God I didn't go this time.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
I don't think there was any doubts on part of anybody, that Iran will come out victorious against Palestine today. If we had not won the game, then our presence at Asian Cup would have to be questioned to being with.
So, putting the expected win aside, I have to say the quality of our performance was worrisome against a 2nd rated team in Asia.
Loudest Iranian chant I could hear in the broadcast was "Ya Ali Madad". IR flags everywhere.
Sad times.
I was in Qatar for the world cup and went to all of Iran's matches. The Hezbollahis became more and more after each match.
This "Ya Ali Madad" chant was loudest during the USA game. It literally means "Ali help us" (which is quite blasphemous in Islam, as only God hears and can help you, but that's another discussion)
But this is what happens when the brain-dead Iranian opposition do not use a world platform to voice their dissent - they essentially disenfranchised themselves (playing right into the hands of the regime) by not showing up to a world stage!

I watched Japan vs. Vietnam, and if you watched that match (say Iran played like Japan), you would be really worried.
I have been critical of Amir Ghalenoei and his squad selection, but today was a good win and all of our goals were a beauty.

Team: Our team never learns how to start like a strong team. Always nervous legs, erratic passing, scrappy play as though the other side is always the World Champion.
Coach: He looked the worse of any coach I have seen on TV so far at this Asian Cup. No energy! He looked half sleep with that beautiful outfit.
Beiro: He has been progressively getting more unreliable! ... I don't know, but almost everything about him including his body language, shouting and anger, nervous hospital passes, even occasional good saves, is making me uneasy. I really think Payam is a much more composed and focused goalkeeper than this guy. He should not start after the group stage is over.
Kanaani: This guy may be a tough defender, but he never plays like he is an experienced professional. Always jerky! .. CQ was totally on the mark to put him on the bench for the world cup. That handball and yellow card was something I see in my weekend pickup games with bunch of amateurs.
Shoja: If I have to choose between him and Majid for a more critical game, I will probably pick Majid, but neither are all that reliable anyway. Both are slow and against a team like Japan will be totally owned.
Sadegh: He has some skills in stealing the ball and defending well when sitting deep, but everything else he does on the field, is simply not good for a defender at this level. His insistence on dribbling a few players when a simple pass can achieve more for the team, is mind bugling. He likes to do everything the hard way not realizing football is a simple game. I take Ramin with all his negatives over this fellow any day!
Ezatollahi: One thing I have to say about Saeed, is that he can never score! On the opposite team, I meant.
Ghoddos: Definitely man of the match for me today, but he looked pretty much out of gas in the second half.
Ghayedi: I have never liked players with his style unless they are truly Neymar, and don't think we will be seeing much of him as the tournament progresses.
JHB: Simply put, in the scale of 1-10 his overall contribution to the team today was about 3 or 4 but his mistakes and unnecessary dribbling about 9. I wish Allayar was in form. He would have been a good replacement.
Mohebbi: Over the past decade or two we have had some very good players in the position he plays. He is one of the worse, I have seen in that role. No real contribution to the team. His runs, closed-eye style of play, unnecessary dribbles, just not a fit for TM. Torabi or even Karim should start instead of him.
Wow, the commentators on the YouTube stream run by Asian cup channel could not stop talking about how good iran is. It was so amazing to hear. All throughout the match both commentators had nothing but amazing compliments for us. It was really great to listen to.
Fck IR flag and those slave spectators hired by Sepah to control the atmosphere at the stadium!
Every time the camera zoomed on those bastards, I was going to throw up seeing their ugly arab-blood faces.
Aziz no need for the racism khialet rahat 2026 I'll be going to stadium in full hakhamenesh Immortals gear in one of the most kerm rikhtan outfits to bait these hezbollahis..
Imagine an Iran game in California or NY they'll be terrified might even call the World cup participation off.
Still no need for bringing Arabs into this, these idiots are our own idiots.
