Ali Daei Asian Cup scoring record on the line

Ali Daei is the all time scoring leader for the Asian cup with 14 goals total. Almoez Ali from Qatar scored 9 in the last Asian cup and 1 so far this cup to be at 10. So he is trailing Daei by 4 goals. Hopefully no more scoring for him in this Cup. I wanted to keep this in perspective as he is only 27 so he can play for another Asian cup for sure.

From Iran side Azmoun has scored 7 times so far. I was hoping he scores more against Palestine but that did not happen. Besides him we don't have anyone else in the running!

Really hope Daei somehow keeps this record or azmoun gets at least 3 more this tournament so he at least has an outside Chance next Asian cup to help us keep the record.

No joke but Haaland somewhat reminds me of Daei. An awkward tall freak of nature with no conventinal football technique, just banging in goals right, left and centre.

A massive misconception about Daei was that he had no technique. He has alot of skill and hardly lost the ball. Daei in his later years was a totally different player to Daei pre-2006
