Couple positives:
- JB is finally a sub and not starting
- our finishing has improved. Yes they were a little offside but we scored 5 goals. Usually we would have missed more chances
- Both commentators were praising us the entire match, just like Palestine game
side note: is there really nobody from the technical staff to players who has the balls to tell Haj safi to stop shooting the ball from long range? He can’t keep getting away with it - Jesse pinkman

GK: Beiro in some aspects is one of the best goalies we’ve ever had, (shot stoping / ball distribution) but his IQ and decision making always comes back to haunt us too.
Defense: Shoja is miles ahead of our other CBs, and Moharrami is a real RB unlike Ramin who is just a RW and never defends. Kanaani has absolutely zero composure and extremely low IQ. Our LB options are slim, you have Mohammadi who looks like a deer in the headlights and NASA physicists Hajsafi who always has a precise aim for the moon. He also hogs ever set piece to ensure we are alway one step closer to a moon landing.
Midfield: it is time to accept that the Jahanbaksh that played in Holland is long gone, this guy is terrified of the ball, can’t cross, shoot or dribble. I hope Gholizadeh can take over the RW, and we can still see some good performances from Ghaedi. Ezatolahi did much better today and Ghoddos remains crucial for balance. I hope to not see Cheshmi play again, he is too slow for the sport.
Strikers: Azmoun and Taremi duo can score against any team in the world and are the best ST pair I have ever seen in terms of how they compliment each other and their consistency. Karim and Moghalou should not be near the team ever again, just bring Asadi as the sub
Once we get through Syria we will win the cup. Japan and Korea look shaky.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

Good:
Taremi + Azmoun combo (Azmoun outside of that was average)
Shoja, Ghoddos, Beiro, Moharammi and Beiro.
Average:
Ezza, Gholizadeh (ineffective outside of a couple flashy moments), Mohebbi, Ehsan and Omid.
GN didn't adjust quick enough in the 2nd half.
Bad:
Ghaedi - 10 of 23 touches resulted in lost possession. Back to his shol ways.
JB - his first actual poor game this tournament. Partially to blame for the goal
Ramin - defensive liability. Partially to blame for the goal.
Kanaani - gets beat easily.
Overall, solid win. Dominated at times, but the quality of the competition was low tbh.

The 2 offside goals that went to VAR WERE offside.
The Kanaani foul WAS a pen.
The Mohebbi goal SHOULD have stood.
Kanaani foul was not clear enough to get an overrule by VAR. It has to be a clear mistake, and it was not.
And the Mohebbi goal was the most shameful of the decisions by VAR. It was as if they were looking for an excuse to rule it out.
After Beiro saved the penalty, UAE was crumbling fast and VAR came to the rescue. This should have been 4 or 5-0.Sign this petition to show opposition to US/UK support for the Rajavi/MKO cult

By now I have watched the game twice and the second time with less emotions and more focus on the performance and quality of the game by Iran.
Overall, this was a very good performance by Iran. Team showed a lot of positives in all ranks but most importantly and promising for me، is the fact that team showed how they can up their game a notch or two to suit the opponent. I hope this ability continues as we will see more serious oppositions ahead.
On the list of things to improve I have two items to mention, one is our problems in the back and equally in midfield continue to be the hindrance and poses the most risk. Second, i am concerned about the team's mental sharpness and focus during a hard fought 90 min. Our players continue to have lapses which make us look like a second rated team and causes us to scum to outcomes that are not reflective of overall play. Case in point is how we conceded a goal from UAE which could have easily followed by another one.
