      Good thing is that Mehdy Ghayedi and Saman Ghoddos still have fresh legs for the match. They were taken off in the 60th minute. Gholizadeh came on in the 75th minute, so he should be good too. Kanaani has fresh legs.

        The mental fortitude is really something to behold here and this is one element of GN's team's we have to acknowledge. They bounce back. After going down early, red cards, adversity that is unexpected, the team is mentally able to recover and that is new for TM

            Never easy being a team melli fan. After the first goal i thought easy 3/4-0 win.

            Make jahanbakhsh a assistant coach and ban him from the field

                    Disappointed in how we played but happy we live to fight another day. We played decent but we should be able to put teams like Syria away in 90 minutes. I am not liking our chances versus Japan. Hope I am wrong.

                        Thank the lord the Japan game is at 3:30 AM for me. I don’t want to see this team play anymore, and I expect to wake up to Japan 3-0 Iran. Anyone who thinks we will win should also go buy lottery tickets since the odds should be similar. This team with this play should not win for the sake of football’s reputation against Japan. It would be an injustice imo for us to play like this and beat a quality team like Japan.

                        I vote for General Ghalenoei to live up to his nickname and be sent to the next jang on the front lines. He will probably be more successful there than in coaching TM. Or just fire him out of a cannon into one of the neighboring Arab states so he can coach one of their clubs to mediocrity. This team won’t go anywhere with this guy.

                            This is what I am taking from the game. The fact that we held strong and kept it together even when we missed 4 or 5 GREAT opportunities to score

                            Azmoun HAS to respond and score against Japan.

                              imo The biggest boost to our chances vs Japan is having Kannani back ... if shoja good to go physically too then that would be grand ..!

                                We went down to 10 men, stuck together, and broke the penalty curse with 5 perfect penalties with the senior players leading.

                                Japan is beatable and if Azmoun steps up, we will win
