Post from a Korean fan in another forum: I would say out of all the “Asian Giants”, Iran is the most in form. I still have some doubts about the Saudis, there’s been some issues internally going on with them and compared to Iran are in an easier group. I think if we did beat Japan in the Round of 16, Iran would mop the floor on us

Guys I think everyone is reaching. Any team in the QF deserves it and it will be a tough game
We could have japan in QF, saudi in SF, and SK/Aus in final

The funny thing is Mr. Klinsmann accused Iran during the world cup of playing in such way to deceive referees to get fouls/penalties.
I guess the truth just came out that he is biggest cheats on the planet at the moment, by faking a 3-3 draw with minnows Malaysia just to avoid facing Japan.
I hope Saudi (if they are not the next cheat) eliminate this bunch from the Asian Cup, although I don't believe I will be cheering for them now!
Iran by far is not only the best team in the tournament but is the most honest and one with integrity.

For those wondering how Malaysia did so well against Korea, Malaysia's head coach is a Korean who did the following:
On 26 December 2017, Kim was appointed as Korea Football Association (KFA)'s vice-president and head of reinforcement committee. He planned long-term project to change the future of South Korean football like when he managed Hong Kong national team. He put emphasis on sports science and made football science team in the KFA to approach to players' treatment, recovery and weight training scientifically. After setting the direction of Korean football towards "proactive football", he employed Paulo Bento as national team's manager in person, and honestly disclosed his hiring process to the press.
Korea has guys like this but went for Klinsmann instead.
