Korea has guys like this but went for Klinsmann instead.
Weak mentality, I was in South Korea last summer, they look up to "whites" and people from the West. They trust Westerners more than their people, which is why they regularly prefer for people who have no reputation at all in their countries, like Klinsmann or Uli Stielike. Koreans have very low self-esteem in relation to the West and have little confidence in their qualities. It's quite different in Japan, they were very relaxed contemporaries who have confidence in their qualities, especially in football. I had seen the games against El Salvador and Peru in the stadium, Japan looked strong, but the Asian Cup is always a different matter, here Japan are expected to make the game and that doesn't suit them so much. In contrast to Korea, I have to say that people in Japan are well informed about Iran, even in special places for football, they tell you stories about Ali Daei and Mahdavikia, there was even a place in Shibuya where their signed jerseys were hanging. In South Korea, on the other hand, everything is much more subdued and disinterested if you're not a Westerner.

If South Korea thought that playing Saudi( a country that doesnt really exist but just plays Lemonade tycoon by spending) and trying to establish itself as a football giant with bribery will be easier than playing their long time arch rivals Japan, they are in for a rude wakeup call

Tomorrow we are rooting for Australia and Tajikistan right?

I would say Indonesia for all giants to be out but its unlikely and I want whoever comes out of Saudi/South Korea to keep suffering

Definitely Tajikistan with their sweet Farsi accent. I hope they advance as far as possible.

Australia match too early for me, but I’ll watch the Tajik brothers in action.

Winner of Saudi vs SK has 2 days LESS rest compared to Australia. That will give Australia big advantage in addition to facing an easy opponent in R16
