Do Tajiks love our people and soccer team the same way we love theirs/cheer for them?

The Tajiks I met in both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (Tajik ethnicity Uzbekistanis which is a large group) were really obsessed with Persian history and culture.

A number of them consider themselves the true Persians which is OK because their persian language has less Arabic and other foreign words than ours does


I wouldn't expect every Iranian to cheer for them but those of us with Persian blood might be keen for them to do well

They and Saudi have been used to so much entitlement over the last few years as UK, USA and Israel have been sucking up to them...
