again, nobody would be defending the ref if he was Iraqi and the player was Iranian.
Hell our fans couldn't even accept that Mohebbi plowing through a UAE defender was a foul...
anyways. doesn't matter at the end of the day, Aussies will beat Jordan or Tajikistan anyways.
It was an extremely soft yellow card, which some referees might not have given, but at the same time, it is well within the laws of the game for the ref to produce the yellow for it.
Also, those saying that Taremi and Azmoun only did it to the camera, yep that's right, but after Mohebbi's goal (before it was disallowed), Mohebbi actually did it in front of the UAE fans but didn't receive a yellow (it also caused things to kick off a bit but Team Melli players were able to calm the Emirati players down quite fast, and Taremi even said in the post-match interview that they don't agree with what Mohebbi did). So at the end of the day, it depends on the referee, and some referees might have considered just warning the player instead.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

but anyways, what's done is done. Hoepfully this doesn't impact Faghani's future referring prospects in this tourney.

1.1 – A player who decides to run towards the opposition fans and celebrate his goal will be shown a yellow card, regardless of his motives/intentions.

^ I am sure everyone saw and understood what it means. The rest of the world would not get it anyways but Arabs will for sure.__________________________________________________ ________________________________________
