All I am praying for is a VAR free match because we all know how lethal it is to the game of football and it makes it really frustrating most of the times. I hope we won't have any issues with the referees tomorrow and can keep our cool. We need to not commit fouls and try to contain the fast pace of the Japanese by keeping the ball and make them commit the fouls and be able to use the spaces well.
Japan plays a great football but because they are moving fast, pass a lot and like to attack, they will give a lot of empty spaces for us to use too. The trick is to find those spaces. If we are smart we will look for those gaps between their lines and send our balls there in counter attacks we would have many one and one chances as we sit back and wait for those moments. Also we need to cross more than usual and let Sardar use his height. Accurate high balls will be the winning factor for us. We saw Japan's weakness and their keeper also were defeated in the air against Iraqi height and this is exactly where we could hurt them tomorrow.
I think we should bring Sardar in the 2nd half and use a fast player for total counter attack football and then bring in Sardar to press them in their box later in the game hence they would make mistakes. Japan does not like to watch a team keeping the ball because they are used to carry and pass so if we frustrate them, they will lose their concentration and focus and then we can do harm. Anyways I hope GN wakes up tomorrow with another head and help the team instead of weakening it with his tactics. He is an experienced coach but I am not sure if he has smart tactics yet. If he wins this game, then I will respect his moves otherwise, another fluke will kick us out of the competition. I hope that the luck is on our side as we need it.. Go Team Melli..Last edited by webmaster; 02-02-2024, 11:41 PM.__________________________________________________ ________________________________________

The first step to a surprise victory: we can't beat ourselves. Avoid stupid red cards or conceding unnecessary PKs.
The second step to a surprise victory: capitalize on your chances. We'll get three, maximum four chances. And we'll need to score at least 2 goals to have hope. Sardar can't be wasteful.
Third step to a surprise victory: we need to get a little lucky.
Fourth step to a surprise victory: have Oracle jan send some prayers to his God. If anybody owes Oracle a favor, it's him.
