I honestly can’t remember the last time we scored form long range after Bagheri and Nekounam left, Ghaedi luckily is the first player I’ve seen always looking to shoot. It is a breath of fresh air. Jahanbaksh used to shoot but ever since Brighton he has looked like he is kicking the ball with jello, not cleats

Why does it the game have to be 3:30am pacific!?? Damn it lol I really want to see ghaedi stay on …only chance we have with sardar…we need a lot of free kicks to get the header in for once sardar needs to score! The guy is like going backwards like jahanbakhs

I would start Moghanloo over Sardar. We have zero firepower off the bench. Moghanloo should grind out 60min and we bring in Sardar to go all out on the last 30min. That's what he is used to and good at playing for Roma.

The game starts at 3:30 am, so shouldn't your alarm be a bit sooner? Like 3:15 am? You need some time to wake up, turn on the chai, check PFDC, etc.

              I have a question:
can’t we call up reserve players in case of permenant injuries? So for sadegh, couldn’t we have brought it someone else to replace. How could teams be short?

This Saturday will be first time in a decade where I think TM almost has 0 chance to beat Japan. I've tried to simulate Ramin and Haj Safi versus Kubo/Ueda/Mitoma and I can't do it. I just believe with 100% certainty we will be destroyed. When you have Ramin and Cheshmi abandoning post to let our striker to cover for them in defense...I just can't. Someone convince me please.

Guys...we have a problem with this team and I think it seriously boils down to this...we don't have a set structure. When I see this TM play, I see 11 players who like doing their own thing. I find it crazy that Cheshmi finds it acceptable to do a crazy run like CR9 and abandon post. I find it crazy that Ramin abandons post to the other side of the field so that he can bag a goal. Mohebi is often found in right wing despite being a left winger....ARJ is found in central midfield despite being a winger. We have too many....structural problems that other teams just don't have to face...our players always look confused and frantic

Don't agree with the second part. I actually think our defensive shape and structure was really, really good while being a man down against Syria. Our defense was solid and we didn't give them any real opportunities in extra time, and in fact, we were dictating the game during parts of it!

Also for the first part, if Iraq and UAE did it, why can't we? Anything is possible on the pitch. Again, they could get a red card, we could get a penalty, one of their key players injured and subbed early. Many many chances could arise to tip the balance in our favor!

no chance with this coaching and these tired old players you can beat a tough speedy team like japan unless you slooooww the game down and play counter attacks..sit back and let them get tired then attack with some fresh legs second half

That's the thing though, once Omid Ebrahimi and Ansarifard came in they were experienced and defended CQ style. Why don't we keep that same organized structure during regular play in our last 5-6 matches? Its just so frantic and chaotic with lots of weird positioning, making us concede random goals.

Also it begs me to ask...was that passionate defending GN or players playing their hearts out? Because I haven't seen that kind of organized structure in GNs TM in maybe 10 games
