This Saturday will be first time in a decade where I think TM almost has 0 chance to beat Japan. I've tried to simulate Ramin and Haj Safi versus Kubo/Ueda/Mitoma and I can't do it. I just believe with 100% certainty we will be destroyed. When you have Ramin and Cheshmi abandoning post to let our striker to cover for them in defense...I just can't. Someone convince me please.
Guys...we have a problem with this team and I think it seriously boils down to this...we don't have a set structure. When I see this TM play, I see 11 players who like doing their own thing. I find it crazy that Cheshmi finds it acceptable to do a crazy run like CR9 and abandon post. I find it crazy that Ramin abandons post to the other side of the field so that he can bag a goal. Mohebi is often found in right wing despite being a left winger....ARJ is found in central midfield despite being a winger. We have too many....structural problems that other teams just don't have to face...our players always look confused and frantic

Also for the first part, if Iraq and UAE did it, why can't we? Anything is possible on the pitch. Again, they could get a red card, we could get a penalty, one of their key players injured and subbed early. Many many chances could arise to tip the balance in our favor!

Also it begs me to ask...was that passionate defending GN or players playing their hearts out? Because I haven't seen that kind of organized structure in GNs TM in maybe 10 games
