So one thing i just realised, the last time we played Japan was in 2019 Asian Cup where we lost 3-0.

Our team back then was pretty much identical to our starting lineup today.
Our team back then was in much better form than our team today (Azmoun was on fire in Russia and Jahanbakhsh playing in the EPL)
Japan is a much stronger team today than back then (Tomiyasu for Arsenal / Minamino for Liverpool / and a bunch of other players in EPL)

We lost 3 - 0 back then. I hope i'm wrong but i think we're in a for a beating of 5+ goals.

Bro chill, if IRAQ whit their averege team beat Japan and BAHRAIN was just down 2-1 whit 15 min left and VIETNAM had the lead against them and scored on them twice we can win this game, our achillesheel is our slow team and bademjanbrain coach, whit the right selection of players and right tactic we can beat them just like Iraq did, 2019 is irrelevant, Greece won the EUROS 2004 and beat teams like Portugal twice, France , Czech republics golden generation and a draw against spain but lost to Russia in the same tournament and then lost to Albania in wcq and missed WC 2006 , football is not logical and not played on paper, just look what happend to us against Hongkong and Syria.
