I think that ghayedi torabi gholizadeh all need to start , if they don’t start bringing all of them in at halftime at least …. We need all the technical players we have on the pitch at the same time ….

I agree I personally think Torabi has what it takes to start in place of Taremi (even though not as good). He has good technical skills when it comes to tight spaces

Good lineup. Ghaedi can be a menace against this Japan side since they play tighter defensively. I do prefer Torabi since height advantage

Azmoun also needs to stay up front at all costs. I don't want him tracking back in this game. This applies more pressure our midfielders to exert more energy but this is how it will have to be.

Sardar azmoun should not start , he looks fat and overweight again and having him walk for 90 minutes is no help at all ….

I rather he come off the bench , he only has like max 20 minutes in him anyway…. Might as well come on the 70 minute,

I've been thinking about Azmoun today and I don't see him scoring from open play for us. A goal from a corner is possible however.

The problem is that by moving him from CM position, we break up the stability we have in the mid of the pitch.

Torabi, he's played that forward winger/hybrid cm role before and his long shots are very dangerous. He would work well with Azmoun

Zion has been very shaky for Japan. They have no better back up. All their GKs are novices. We gotta come out with full firepower and shot after shot. Just overwhelm the goal and hope for a couple of early ones. Then can fall back and defend like a wall.

Idk if it was posted earlier in the thread, but we have a Chinese referee tomorrow named Ma Ning. I imagine if there is any sort of bias, it would go our way based on China/Japan relations. Qatar may be trying to put the fix in for us to advance since we are an easier opponent than Japan in SF. I think even with a biased ref, Japan has the quality to overcome and beat us, but hopefully some lucky calls go our way and we escape.

If he's anything like the ref we had against Syria, we'll probably get multiple red cards tomorrow. I'm hoping he's slightly biased, because we'll need any help we can get. I imagine it will be a situation of us getting a lot of cards tomorrow though, because Japan is fast and agile and our big burly players bumping into them will look like a violent attack. I think even if we squeak a win, we might have some important players suspended for the SF.
