Folks،
Let's not allow the win against Japan makes us disillusioned about the real ability of our team and the task ahead.
The truth is this Japan wasn't as good as when we face them 4 year ago. In fact they were not good at all. They were outperformed by Iraq in almost every aspect, they struggled against Vietnum, and the two wins against Indonisia and Baharain were not all that impressive. They did not show much against Iran neither. I actually think Syria was a much tougher team than Japan and i have to agree with the coach (can't believe I say this) that Iran played its best game against them.
Iran issues in defense still presists and continues to be a concern if/when we face the strongest team of this tournament (Korea) on the final day.
For now however, we need to focus on Qatar who is also a strong side and can cause trouble for Iran. Qatar has in Moez and Affif two very agile and dangerous strikers capable to turning the balance of the game. The coach needs to come up with a proper formation and tactics to ensure we are not caught off guard.
In football, you can play against a team 10 times and each time come out victorious but the 11th game will always be on a new day and on new terms and there will be no guarantee for the history to repeat itself.
