I wish Iran would stop with these long throws. Not sure why they insist on throwing long balls. I don't remember the last time they were able to create any good chances. No other top team in the world does that.

I haven’t seen it work once, the ball comes in too slowly. It’s very easy to intercept and it’s so risky when we push up the CBs for a throw in! If any thing it only works when they fake the long throw and make it short.

i also hate when team take a short corner that never works either. Luckily we don’t do much of that. But regardless we need to keep Haji NASA away form every free kick. He ruins every single one and won’t rest until he gets a soccer ball to the moon!

Where the VAR room should have checked Player B who is already leaning towards his goal and probably would have kept Azmoun onside, they chose player A!
They also chose a close-up of Azmoun-player A on display to support their shitty decision!
Naked eye shows at least player B's shoulder would have kept him closer to goal than Sardar (since VAR ruled on Sardar's elbow tip!!!)



In fact I wish FIFA wld change the ruling on offsides. Especially when ARMS are involved.
They should base it on body parts that legally can contact the ball to score goals. be it legs, feet, heads, shoulders, ... even freaking fat bellies.
But arms, elbows, hands?
So what? The player will not be able to use these parts to score a goal.
Why should they count in the first place?

I think a player like Gholizadeh or Ghaedi will be key this game. Both are rested and very tactical. Qatar will do what we did to Japan (crowd the midfield). We need to be creative getting past them, and these two would do much better than Mohebi or JB. I’d rest them unless needed in the second half / final

My thought exactly they will frustrate the Qataris with their movement and also allow the wingbacks to move further up the field. They willl be crowding the middle so it’s important we play them (I am aware JB and Mohebi were involved in both goals agaisnt Japan) it is purely a tactical thing

Offside rule excludes arm and hand already. If the arm or elbow of Azmoun was used to call him offside, then their Var software be dardeh ammeh jooneshoon mikhoreh.
