the only way this Qatari team wins against us is if we get a player sent off .. Yes, they will get their share of favoriable calls and VARs... but, 11 on 11, we will beat them.

Does Mohebi start again? Does he go back to Ghaedi? Does Gholi start?
He has a lot of good options but also curious how he's going to approach it.
Ramin kanani shoja hajsafi
Goli Saeed. Saman gaedy

something like this...
suspension tightrope:
Beiro, Shoja, Saeid, Mohebi
If we can be anywhere near comfortable (i.e minimum 2 goal lead) in 60-70 mins. Take off Shoja and Saeid to save them from missing the final (assuming they haven't already picked up a yellow in the game, otherwise they stay on to save someone else's legs) for Cheshmi and Omid, Azmoun for Ansarifard, ARJ for Mohebi or Gholi... and probably rest Ramin however possible purely coz we can't afford for 2 RBs to be injured/fatigued, regardless of what people think of his performances.
I see this game being tighter than most expect. Ignore that 4-0 last year, this isn't Iran v Qatar. It's Iran v the AFC

for me:
We have to start strong. Blitz approach and go up by 1-2 goals in the first half. Expect shenanigans against us.
-------------------Beiro---------------
---Ramin---Kanani—Shoja—Ehsan
--------------Ezat---Saman----------
---Gholi-------Taremi-----Mohebi
----------------Azmoun--------------
Then the following to rest Azmoun and Ehsan towards the end of the game. We need them in the final.
-------------------Beiro---------------
---Ramin---Kanani—Shoja—Milad
--------------Ezat---Saman----------
---Gholi-------Mohebi-----Ghaedi
-----------------Taremi--------------
To close the game in the last 5-10 min I would bring on Jahanbakhsh and Cheshmi to rest Gholi and Shoja.

Gents،
Congratulations for the sweet victory today.
After that stressful game against Syria, this victory brought joy to all of us.
I don't want to spoil the celebration but Iran came to this tournament not to just beat Japan but to take the top prize home. The real tournament for Iran has just started and there is one more hurdle before we get to the final.
Qatar may not be as strong as opponent like Japan but they have many advantages over Iran already. One being playing on home turf and the other is being a generou$ friend of AFC.
So, let any felling of complacency fade away when today's celebration comes to an end. I know Iran beat Qatar 4-0 recently in a friendly but tomorrow's games are never determined based on past results.
It is great that we have a full squad with no injury and no suspension and we would have Taremi back but all of that does not guarantee victory over Qatar. Iran needs to continue with the strong mental focus on the upcoming game (or games as we all hope for). Victory is within reach.
Once again, congratulations to all. Get some sleep and rest and be ready for Wednesday. :-)

First, as you pointed out, Qatar is playing at home, and that automatically ensures them some advantage. Second, just as Iran did against Japan, they'll be looking for revenge. But I must confess I have never before felt that Iran was closer to winning the Asian Cup than it is today. There seems to be relative cohesion amongst the players, with no signs of troublesome infighting in the camp. The players, especially the three superstars, are at their peak and they're finally hungry for redemption. Judging by their collective remarks, they also desperately want to put a smile on the faces of the long-suffering people of Iran--and, perhaps, that is their greatest motivation.
Having said all that, we have to acknowledge that, throughout recent history, successive variations of our national football team have been whimsical, appearing lackadaisical and even somewhat disinterested in some easy or even crucial matches ( Japan 4 years ago, latest Hong Kong game and last year's appearance against the U.S.), but tenacious and shockingly determined and organized in appearances they were expected to struggle mightily (yesterday's match, the second halves against Argentina and Spain, and encounters against Morocco and Wales, to name a few).
The question is: Which Team Melli will ultimately show up in the coming days? We know that they've spent a great deal of physical and mental energy to eke out a victory against Japan, and we're wondering if there's enough left in the tank for them. We clearly don't want a repeat of the game they played against the U.S. last year, an anticlimactic event following their heroic performance against Wales, especially now that they can so tangibly envision raising the Cup. Will the coaches and some team veterans be able to galvanize the group to attain that goal? They have a realistic chance of tasting victory again after nearly fifty years if they can reach the mental and physical fortitude they demonstrated against Wales and Japan, as it's clearly evident that the next few opponents, whichever they may be, are beatable as Iran is in its best form, with the strongest momentum in recent history to finally get the job done.
