Guys The BS started again. They just sanctioned mehdi taremi again! $5k for entering the field after the game was over. The referee in Qatar game is gonna be Awful .

GN should tell all players to not do anything stupid as the ref will be against us!

The heat of the match, in a hostile stadium and of course the ref favoring the hosts. Of course as you all know we lost that game in penalty kicks. Yahya Golmo's untimely chip deprived us the final against Japan.

The moral of the story, NEVER underestimate any opponent, no matter how weak/weaker they may be. Team Melli has proven to be more vulnerable against the team it underestimates and has little respect for…

            Dorood doostan.

GN will face a dilemma around including Taremi into a team that performed excellently. Which could potentially be disruptive. However, on his day Taremi is the best Iranian football player on the pitch and at his worst usually our third or fourth best player. Having him start is a must.

Therefore I would arrange the team as follows against Qatar:

            -------------------Beiro-----------------
            ---Ramin---Kannani—Shoja—Milad
            ----------Ezat--------Saman---------
            ----Gholi------Taremi------Ghaedi--
            ----------------Azmoun----------------

            And against South Korea:

            -------------------Beiro-----------------
            ---Ramin---Kannani—Shoja—Milad
            ----------Ezat--------Cheshmi-------
            -----------------Saman------------------
            ------Taremi------------Mohebi------
            ----------------Azmoun----------------

The bigger dilemma surrounds Jahanbaksh, here are the pros and cons of having him in the line-up:

            Strengths:
            1. He’s a leader on and off the pitch and the players roosh hesab bastan
            2. He was able to beat several Japanese players and get a pass through
            3. Defensively very good
            4. He is motivated
            5. Scored a penalty for us

            Weaknesses:
            1. He is often sloppy with his passes
            2. He’s not a bigger goal threat like Gholi in my opinion

This may sound controversial but Jahanbakhsh had a very good game for us but was not excellent, he often made mistakes and crucially, I like the dynamic of having Gholi combine with Taremi and Azmoun far more. His penalty and his leadership and defensive qualities is what made him stand out for us. However, Jahanbakhsh will play a big role in the next two games due to his morale being at 100 atm.

Nazare shoma chist? How do we include Taremi in the line-up going forward and should Jahanbakhsh start the next matches?

Much better to face them on paper than an all around balanced and committed Uzbekistan team. They have defensive liabilities all over, their GK is very inconsistent, and those are in our favor tremendously thankfully compounded by Taremi being back in the lineup to wreak havoc over their backline. Similar to the Japan game, really have to keep testing the goal keeper and make him work - we already put 4 past him so it's possible, though given it's a semi final and there is a large home crowd they will be extra motivated to perform well.

Things to seriously watch out for are committing no silly mistakes, no fouls, no harsh tackles worthy of send-offs, watching our line to prevent offsides - control the controllables, so there are no excuses for them to pull some shenanigans in the VAR room. That is something that is simply out of our control and we must compensate for that through a flawless on field performance.

Luckily our boys are very used to Qatar already so I don't think the atmosphere will be too hostile, also given that we have thousands of die hard fans in the stadium who will be there in support.
Their player is not suspended he got 2 yellows the first two games and didnt play vs china

As long as he is performing its all good. Jalal hosseini did play until 35-36 but We had older players . Also its modern football where we have players playing at 42 and still performing.

After the performance yesterday we actually have a big dilemma about who to play. During the second half we played one of the best halves of football I’ve seen in years. We did this all without Taremi. Ghoddos moved further up, and we saw more from him as he is naturally an attacker. Omid brought calmness to the midfield. And JB and Mohebi were involved in both goals.

We are limited in defense options, so they will be tired but the only question is Hajsafi or Mohammadi. But the winger position is complicated. Obviously we have to bring a rested Taremi back. But that will mean Ghoddos will be pushed back. Omid will be dropped. And then we still remain with the question about JB, Mohebi, Gholi or Ghaedi…
                    --------------------------Beiranvand-------------------
                    --Moharrami----Hosseini--Kanaani----Amiri--
                    ------------------Ezatolahi-----Ebrahimi--------------
                    --Jahanbaksh---------Ghoddos------------Taremi--
                    ---------------------------Azmoun----------------------

I’d also prefer Gholizadeh for fresh legs and greater creativity in tighter spaces against a Qatar side likely to sit back more after the 4-0 drubbing last year. JB had a superb game yesterday, but I agree he is inconsistent. (Although I note you still selected JB in your line up?)

At this stage of the tournament I’d also prefer a 4-2-3-1 formation with Saman in the 10 since it is less risky in terms of avoiding playing a high line, risking conceding sloppy goals through nervous mistakes in possession or worse still, being forced to make transitional fouls when we’re out of shape that could lead to controversial refereeing or VAR decisions. No need to risk a 4-4-2 from the start, and leaves that open as an option to switch to if we’re chasing the game.

However the issue with GN’s squad selection is our lack of options in the double pivot. For me on evidence so far, Omid remains the best option alongside Saeed but his legs are clearly not what they used to be and we also need him fresh hopefully for the final. Ehsan is one option there but I prefer his calm, creative play passing out from left back in this game.

Taremi comes back in, drifting in from the LF position for me - against Qatar his link up play with Azmoun from there should be good enough to open them up. He will have something to prove and I think he will step up for this one.

This terrorist regime has even ruined the relationship between the people and Team Melli..so many can’t even cheer seeing that monkey Beiravand telling we will bring the cup for 22nd bahman..if this win had taken place before Nov 2022 the streets would have been filled with happy people..so sad..like everything under Islamic terrorist regime

Sorry, yes, my error. Gholi was supposed to be in my lineup for the next match. However, Jahanbakhsh should come on to finish off the game given his pressing focus as well as Mohebbi.

Okay we don't want to make this thread poilitical but there one thing i need to say:

This one is on our own naive people that fall for any thing they see on socialmedia. It all started with the canada friendly game by Masih alinejhad (IR Parastoo) who works for IR. Then it carried out to Jhina movement . The sad part of this is that this IR regime loves it . They love it when our own people hate our national team players. Do you know why? Because they don't want another Hero from team melli that would end up having lots of influence on our people.

Iranian people should be more clever and not fall for this. They should've supported team melli and keep this teammelli on their side rather than giving it away to IR.

Both sardar and taremi could easily influence millions of people if they wanted. The regime is trying to prevent this.

Im sorry but some people are fucking idiots who don’t even bother to read a calendar.

the final is on 21 Bahman. Flight back would be the day after.

I’m truly sorry our people are this simple and brainwashed.

I now understand why so many people who left Iran after the revolution were bitter and upset at our own people. Seeing normal people around you act like brainwashed zombies.
