It's kinda like a corner kick. We're so good in the air. It's taking advantage of a strength.

I also believe the PK move was initially started by a long throw. So it has worked (although not directly).

Maybe but they put Japan under a lot of pressure. It was clearly a tactic to try and capitalize on the aerial dominance we had in any way possible. While Japanese defended most of the throws well the cumulative effect of having to set up and defend so many definitely contributed to our domination in the second half (Japan has to pull everybody back into their box, set up defensive coverage schemes, etc)

I hope TM analysts do their due diligence and research on Qatar.

Qatar plays 3-5-2 which means a packed midfield. That might come into play to decide if we play 4-2-3-1 with Ghoddos as CAM and Ezatolahi/Ebrahimi behind him.

We cant play a flat 4-4-2 of Taremi/Azmoun with Ghoddos/Ezatolahi behind without Qatar winning the numbers game in the middle.

What will be the difference maker is if we can keep Akram Afif and Almoez Ali quiet. They dont have much else besides them scoring wise except Al Haydos long shots.

We all know there will be some hidden agenda which we will have absolutely no control over.

The best startegy to defuse any attemp on anybody's part to manipulate the game, is to go out there and play a clean and decisive of a game, and score a few goals in front of millions of spectators and viewers so that nobody would be dare to fck around with the game, be it the Arab referee or the VAR room or AFC or Qatari Amir who signs the cheques to pay off AFC and FIFA.

I think we should just stop even talking about it as it distracts from the game. Our focus should be the game and only the game at the moment.
