and man is there so many similarities to the way Jordan played today against S.Korea , and they way the played us in the 2nd half , very important note from that game they played a very high line of attack , Tamari and Yazan , if you watch the highlights they always find away of getting in the defensive players blind spot idk if this is a talent or something their coach has taught them , but just like the Koreans we made the same mistakes against them as well just that we were lucky they missed the opportunities

that game could have gone 5-3 Jordan with them getting 2 penalties, if VAR ( video Arab referee) was available,

but in all honestly, we out played them in the 1st half and they absolutely dominated us in the 2nd half…..

we won the game 3-1 but it was a very shake performance ..

I've never been a fan of GN especially after that atrocious 07 AC. i always loved CQ. but his stubbornness really turned me off. refusing to bring khalatbari to 2014 wc. keeping gucci on the bench vs portugal, when gucci was our most clutch player arguably of all time. his refusal to play ghoddos. playing defensively in must win games, etc.

now GN is playing this tournament with an open mind. giving countless players the opportunity to shine. he summoned the Lions in us, winning our knockout game that went to PK, and defeating japan, whom we embarrassed ourselves against 4 years ago.

now GN fully has my support, its now or never. GO TM!!!!

All right folks,

Time to put our indifferences aside and cheer for our beloved TM for tomorrow and hopefully final's games.

At this point I would support any coach at the helm of TM, even if it's the most hated coach in the face of the planet.

Once the tourney is over and TM is back home we will have plenty of time to discuss/praise/criticize the team and its coaching staff, until then VIVA TEAM MELLI FOREVER!

Please lets not make a giant out of Jordan. Sure they are a good team but let us not forget they would have been eliminated by Iraq if Aymen had not gotten himself red carded. And against Korea they were lucky Korea was exhausted after playing two back to back 120 min games. And Kim was suspended so their defense line was very shaky without him.

First we have to take care of Qatar but for a team that just dominated Japan and eliminated them, we should not be scared of a team such as Jordan.

Korea knocked Iraq out in 2015 but lost to Australia in the final.

Great lineup but I am beginning to realize that Ghaedi is much more effective as a 2nd half sub where the opponent has tired legs. So I would start Mohebi instead since he just had such a great game.

We are shooting ourself in the foot with these comments. We don't need to amplify tensions. It's a bad look at best and at worst will antagonize the referee potentially even more. Referees hold grudges (see Ben Williams example when CQ criticized him against Bahrain in the 2015 Asian Cup and got fined, and then Williams got assigned again for the Iraq game and fucked us).

Referees hold immense power. They can screw our tournament and it won't really matter for anyone except us in the grand scheme of things. We have a lot more to lose with these foolish comments publicly

^ actually I think he did good. The AFC nor FIFA are listening to us and do whatever they want and the IR media have no tooth nor wisdom so the world will hear what Qatar is doing.

This is actually a smart move as many in the world will see this and Qatar has to be careful because they already have a lot of shit in regards to their corruption and shady work with FIFA and the workers situation and many political shit they are involved in. They are hosting tournaments to cheat and this will give them a bad name for sure.
