I feel so empty - there is nothing that will console me right now. We are truly cursed. We played them off the field in the 2nd half. So sad to see the end of road for some of them. We did not deserve to lose this one. I’ve seen my share of disappointments for the years but this one really sucks.

disappointing yes but not surprising when ghalegohi is coach. He is one stubborn arrogant bisavad piece of goh. We have better players no need for long aerial balls and we don’t have a giant up top like drogba kanu, weghorst, koller, etc. fire him now as he is useless. Give someone else a chance

Like I was thinking: Just because we beat Japan, doesn't mean it's game over - Every match has it's battles and necessary tactics...as well as some luck

Our defensive work wasn't very good - gave them way too much space, playing too open of a match

We could have been less open, allowed them a bit of the ball, stifled the midfield and just destroyed them on counters...but we chose to play an open match that resulted in end-to-end attacks, which was always going to be problamatic for defenders like Kanani and Shoja VS the speedy/skilled Afif & Almoez.

We also didn't finish the chances we had...came so close but not close enough...and it came back to bite us.

TBH we were unlucky and Qatar was very lucky: 1 goal via hardcore deflection + another super lucky bounce ends up with wide open Almoez

When you don't finish your chances and give too much space to players like Afif, you're just asking for it.

I'm gutted by this....really really unfortunate and best chance we had by far to win the cup since 76.

Hopefully we'll someday, somehow, we'll figure out this constant problem of incosistency in our performances....or maybe it just requires a world class coach.

Congrats to Qatar. They fought hard and bravely. Afif was dangerous. He was the one man to look out for and we should have planned accordingly before the game. Qatar did great with the press early but we should have scored at least a couple in the second half. I feel that they ran out of gas and sat back. They just had a bit more luck but the win isn't undeserved.

I do feel that we complain too much too. I don't think the Arab countries feel as invested in this tournament as we were emotionally and that could give them the edge to not choke.
