We bloody deserve this guys, as fans! I’ve been a member here since forever and following TM like some of the other veterans of this forum over the last decade and we fricken deserve this!!! We all deserve this! We need a cup in our lifetimes for god damn sakes. For all those 3am wake ups, to then go to work like a zombie…..Congrats guys!In the beginning, there was nothing. And God said: "Let there be light!" And there was still nothing, but you could see it.

Looked back at both of the goals,
Jahanbaksh was crucial in the first goals set up, with his dribble and perfect lay off to Azmoun. If you look at every detail from when the ball is won, until the goal is actually one of the nicest goals we’ve scored.
And guess who sent in the header to Kanaani for the penalty? It was Mohebi. Both wingers we didn’t want played, won us the match.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

GN - 10. Perfect tactics, player selection and formation.
ARJ and Sardar really stepped up to the plate today. In these huge tournament games you your bigger stars to shoulder the responsibility and (unlike several occasions in the past) they did this without getting overemotional and letting nerves and eagerness to do well limit their performance.
Ghoddos was far more effective and dangerous in advanced CM and needs to play there for rest of tournament.
Mohebbi far better against more technical but less physical opposition. He's a great option to have depending on who we're facing. Hopefully this inspires Tarermi to up his game from his generally sub-par performances so far this tournament.
Ebrahimi was caught in possession a couple of times, but we needed that extra presence in midfield and I'm glad he didn't go for Ehsan today - Omid was exactly the right profile of player to disrupt Japan's play in there.
Shoja + Kanaani both look far more comfortable playing in a less aggressively high defensive line.
Amongst some very good performances Ramin was the one that stood out as needing improvement - he held on to the ball for too long on occasion in the first half and not making the easy forward pass earlier put us under pressure, he failed to link up with JB and play him in for a better angle of cross several times and he remains a concern defensively - got caught marking space on a couple of overloads.
The intensity and energy levels from the entire team was superb today. We need to keep the selections fresh and keep those levels up for the coming games.

In that time of probing at the end of first half we found the japanese weak point (diagonals aimed at mohebbi and sardar) and for the second half just kept hitting it. Second balls ghoddos was first to many and we put japanese under tremendous pressure.
