Big thank you to Syria National Team and Hector Cuper for teaching our boys how to come back from a setback and getting their focus straight. Honestly guys ... these boys representing us got experience of setbacks and how to bounce back from previous game.
And they seem to have learnt. With CQ there would have been a collapse. CQs teams are always hard to break, but when you breach them they shatter! This team is the opposite!Comment

Its been some time that we've seen Iran come back from loss against a strong team. Something CQ teams can't do . Can we please give credit to GN for bringing that mentality back to Team Melli.

GN got the game absolutely spot on from the first minute so I absolutely tip my hat to him for getting the scouting report correct and for making the right tactical adjustments throughout the game.
Amazing leadership from Azmoun today he stepped up and delivered big time in taremi’s absence. He took the bull by the horns and completely wore down that Japanese defense.
that offside call on azmoun’s goal was total and complete BS….the Japanese defender in the middle of the pitch kept him onside my at least a step and a half.
aside from the bad VAR decision there I thought the referee did a great job of allowing a physical game and did not show cards in many situations other AFC refs would have…sardar’s bad kick to the Japanese defenders legs in the first half and Saman’s slide tackle after that set piece 10000% would both have been yellows with other refs which would have given TM coaching staff something to think about at HT so kudos to the ref for allowing a very physical game.
did anyone else also notice how tired Japan was at the end? Right around the 75-80 min mark they completely ran out of gas because of the way they started the match. I read and heard too much BS on X about how the first half wasn’t good or good enough…..it was anlmost perfect aside from Beiro’s fuck up and not putting away one of our decent 2/3 chances. Japan used all their gas in that first half and could not keep up and we went in for the kill at the end….thats how you scout and that’s how you take advantage of a teams weakness.
