i was the same. I take 3 deep breaths. Hold
And release. I stop thinking about the game and move on with what matters most. Even then the heart pain is intense. We love Iran and our football is the last area where we become proud Iranians. Nonetheless, we lose. We cry. We move on. Time shall heal all wounds my friend. Look ahead we are Iran and this is not our last Hurrah

      Some Observations:

3 games in one week caught up with us.... exacerbated by:
      1. Bringing the oldest team into the tournament
      2. Playing Japan game without substitutions (effectively)
      3. Keeping mostly the same team v Japan except for Mohebbi and Milad...our younger more physical players.
      4. Keep nearly the same game plan v Japan for this game.
      5. Hosseini and Moharrami injuries caught up with us...we had two old central defenders and after playing game after game their age caught up with them . Our D was sourakh!

      As everyone has said...
Why bring Torabi and not give him minutes?
Why not play fast, younger, and more technical players like Gholi, Ghaedi and Mohammadi.

Anyways...it was a good tournament and we had a respectable showing. We got lucky with the ref...that penalty was very harsh on Qatar. It was very close and we nearly scored a few times... could have gone our way. At least it was fairly refereed...we escaped some yellows for sure.

I wish I knew. All I know is from 1968 till the revolution we were the undisputed King of Asia with:

Three back to back AC trophies
2 Olympic appearances(1972 and 1976) where in 1976 we advanced to the quarterfinals(We also qualified for the 1964 edition)
        1978 WC appearance
Gold medal in the 1974 Asian Olympics
        4 consecutive U21 championships from 73-76

        After the revolution Zip

The ref f....k us before qatar first goal.
many are saying it was faul on taremi.
these games are tough enought to win but have to deal with bs ref its impossible

TM must learn to never ever be complacent anymore, treat every game seriously and as professionals. We have the raw talent, just need to fix the mental / coaching side

People might say it but even Taremi didn't complain. The player got the ball first before touching Taremi. And he gave us the gift of a game tying penalty

                      Interesting take by Khodadad:

He said during his time with TM, they switched training format to playmaking from the defense with long balls, rather than direct passing, through balls. This style is simply outdated and doesn’t work when the opponents defense isn’t complete soorakh. Sure, it happened to work against Japan. But when we have so many technical players like Azmoun, Ghoddos, Taremi, Gholi, Ghaedi. Idk why we’re relying on bezan ziresh football in 2024.

He was reason we didn't win.
God say if I give this nation a trophy , they will celebrate by cutting shombol o mombol.

I have said it many times and will say it again! Iran will never win an Asian Cup anymore. AFC (Arabs Football Confederation) won’t allow it. Even if we beat Japan which we did this time, Arabs all unite to bring us down. We are an emotional nation. They know how to go on our nerves. They start it before the match by choosing Arab referee, by decreasing our share of tickets by Persian Gulf vs Arab Gulf and many other shit. Iran like Israel has to exit AFC. Both Iran and Korea; are at higher level and should not waste their time playing in Arabs Cup. They would never win it anymore. The corruption and ugly play ruins our beautiful soccer. That’s why when giants (Japan, Korea, Saudi and Australia) play us we do our best but we fail against these Arab nations. If you want to hate me go on and do so but truth hurts. We have to get out of AFC. Either register a completely separate confederation like Centra Asian Confederation or join Europe. I am hearing the same thing from Uzbeks. Anyways relax guys like you didn’t know? Why you’re shocked?!! Seriously, you thought we could win the Asian Cup in an Arab Gulf (lovely Persian Gulf but as they wrongfully state) country where all Arabs goal is for Iran not to win it

                              IRAN OUT OF AFC NOW!

IRAN WILL ROCK IN ASIA AGAIN IF IRI IS OVERTHROWN... MUBARAK, BIN-ALI, NOW IT IS THE TURN FOR SEID ALI

We undoubtedly have structural issues with football, but that’s not why we lost today.
We lost because of the nature of this sport. We hit the post, had shots saved off the line, our players found themselves in multiple dangerous transition moments and wasted them. Meanwhile Qatar had two goals from deflections, both against the run of play effectively killing our momentum at the perfect time for them. Guys, today we just lost to football, don’t overthink it. Get some rest, let the emotions wear off. See you at the next tourney, hopefully with a bit of a facelift for our team.
