What a disaster. No heart. No fighting spirit. Ramin, Beiranvand, Taremi truly weak and no real heart to fight it out. Specially Taremi with his crying and zering instead of playing. GN got outcoached and outclassed as much as I hate to say this against a Qatari team.

This result is dedicated to those who were kissing Ghalenoei’s feet and saying how they overestimated CQ. At least with CQ, we lost to good teams and didn’t struggle against Arabs. Anyone with a memory from 1979-2011 knew this is Iran’s destiny. Best part, Ghalenoei will probably be rewarded for this performance. We didn’t deserve to beat Japan. That was one game of luck, otherwise, we’ve been unimpressive for the other games of the tournament. This was Skocic 0.5 (I can’t say 2.0 because this was half as good as Skocic would’ve done). People who just look at results say “wow, we’re on an X game winning streak against the donkeys of Asia!”
Learn to pay attention to the on-field product. We didn’t play with any plan, and like South Korea, talent only gets you so far. We had no plan to switch to when luck went against us today. Against Japan, aliasghari long balls worked. They were not working this game at all, and we got lucky for the penalty gifted to us. We were bad and couldn’t score from open play. Our luck ran out, simple as that.
Edit: if Ghalenoei isn’t fired this week, that will tell you all you need to know about IFF. We learned we are no better on the field with vatani coach, but at least we can develop a new generation with a proper, quality coach. This generation squandered the last chance at glory, very sad. Hopefully Taj gives Ghalenoei his termination papers asap and brings someone like Renard in. We need to start early.

RAMIN, his whole career he has been TOO FAR forward, the one time he’s too far back he costs us with keeping that guy onside
BEIRANVAND so fucking shaky, horrible passes, did he make a save this game?
EBRAHIMI what a MISTAKE starting him, he gave up the ball so many times and slowed us down, and Ghoddos was invisible on the wing
HAJSAFI appeared to be playing with an injury, what a shame playing him instead of a rare in form Mohammadi.
TAREMI all those tears to show up with ZERO effort?! He did nothing todsy we were a man down with him on.
now onto the biggest problem, the coach! He got the starting line up wrong, made good subs to switch it, then absolutely blew it. All we did was take long crosses and NOT ONCE did it work. This was the game to play with interplay with Ghaedi or Gholizadeh why did he bring moghadloo and Asadi…
The few positives was that this was the best game I have ever seen form Jahanbaksh. He gave it his all and every single play started with him. I can’t believe his shot through the defenders legs went off the post and OUT. That was so fucking unlucky man. Azmoun was exceptional all tournament, and this game was no differnt. We are only here because of his assists and todays goal.
what a STUPID game to lose--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

We didn't do shit. We barely beat Hong Kong China, which has recently been reconquored by China. We barely beat war torn syria by penalties. We beat poor Palestine who doesn't even have a home field and is currently at war. We beat a UAE side that doesn't really give a shit anymore, and is just in these tourneys by default. We had one good half against Japan, and it fed our ego, and made our players and people think the cup is already in our hands. Disgraceful performance. We can't even beat our former colony that's the size of a small province in our country.
But hey, "we have players in 'Yoroop'"

Bad starting line up, shit mentality (how do you lose focus AFTER scoring), incorrect tactics (every play was cross into the box and it got cleared). While every shot we took outside of the box or the rare moments of interplay we cut open their team.
this was the game for Ghaedi or gholizadeh not Moghadloo, Asadi, Mohebi or even Taremi!--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

this second mahganglou stepped into the game I knew we where down … why the fuck the send him he is soooo useless …
Why No ghayedi, gholizadeh , torabi at least control the ball bazi sazi ?!?!?!
but in reality this game showed that Hajsafi is done, omid ebrahimi is done a taremi is done. Beiranvand is done. We need to stop wasting more time or we won’t make it to the World Cup or if we do it be a massive embarrassment on the world stage ,
we need a change of generation now we can’t go to the next World Cup with these players.

Being stubborn taking tough road with less rest
Playing japan on 2 days rest then turn around play qatar THATS 3 MATCHES IN 7 DAYS.
our players were tired because tm finished 1st.
only reason jordan in the final is because they lost to bahrain finished 3rd and made their own destiny If not japan would taked them out....
Next time hopefully tm would take footballi way, and stop mixing life and football together.
Tm could of gone
tajikstan, jordan playing s.k with fresher legs in semi. Easier and more rested way.
WHOEVER DISAGREE WITH ALL DUE RESPECT
DONT KNOW JACK ABOUT FOOTBALL, the people that disagree might be intelligent people and successful in life but don't know alphabet of football.

I've said time after time that this team cannot play erratic, gung ho football without any identity and expect to win so many games in a row to lift a trophy, particularly in the latter stages where other teams have not gotten where they are doing the same.
I see people picking out specific players, pre-game expecting the ref to be bought (he couldn't have done more for us than he did)... the fault lies with this god awful "manager". He is totally clueless and we've got to where we are particularly on moments of individual skill by players he's blessed with having in his squad.
A majority of those players deserve so much credit for that heroic performance against Japan. We were pressed to hell by them before their goal, the same way Hong Kong did and he had no answer for it. Then he got lucky that they took their foot off the gas after the goal rather than do more of the same which would have led to a certain victory for them. Then our players had their moments.
Today, another team performance, this time for 90 minutes was our undoing. Sure their first and last goals were fortunate. Their striker Afif was an absolute handful and it was a very route 1 game plan. With the players we had, we should have been able to deal with this. You can pick out players for not performing, sure. Taremi and Azmoun were devoid of service, almost all of our players showed a complete lack of composure on the ball, particularly in the 2nd half even before their 3rd... we literally played into their hands by getting caught up in scuffles and not just simply breathing and allowing our quality on the ball to show.
I can't say there was a player out there who had a good game. This performance was the fault of the manager as to a man. Even if in the first half, he could accuse them of not following his imaginary tactics. At half time, a good coach could look at that first half performance. Some players playing within themselves, some perhaps letting the occasion get to themselves... he can see what needs to be said, where changes need to be made and, for the love of christ, what in their playing style needs to be exploited or nullified... but not, this thick as s**t guy literally has no game plan. Skocic 2.0
I'd be upset, but I'm just hopeful that this means we fire this absolute waste of space.
I'm also hopeful that we don't go back to the "talent pool" of domestic coaches. We need someone with some actual coaching IQ knows there's a project to build this team for the next world cup. There are 8x AFC berths for the next world cup, we can afford to blood some youth talent in qualifying. For the love of god, we had the oldest squad at this tournament at 29.52 years old. We need to purge some of this and start again. We can only do that with a coach who knows how to use our players that are worth keeping around.
2.5 years until the World Cup. Ramin (36), Hajsafi (36), Shoja (37), Omid (38), Karim (36) will be far too old to take at those ages. We'll have experienced players who've won European leagues in Azmoun, Taremi and ARJ - not that it did a load of good for us today. We need to start playing different keepers, giving young defenders a chance and most importantly to find half decent some central midfielders in the time we have. If we don't do these things, history will repeat itself... prepare for further disappointment in the years to come.
I still thank the players for their efforts in this tournament, even if a few let themselves down overall coz they'll know and they'll be hurting at was was a massive opportunity in their careers.
