Please listen to what he says rather than the emotion he expresses. This guy is spewing complete drivel....that is as politely as I could put it.

You have more intelligence and sharaf than this guy and a thousand like him. Seriously...

He's indirectly calling out the corrupt fa on national tv, he's answering his own questions by saying look at the gulf in class between the two countries( talking about pride is just a way of calling them out nicely)

Investing and planing can only get u to a certain place but in the end what mathers is the mind set... We cant change our mind set by just simply pouring money in to sport...
Pouring money with a vision into sports has clearly worked. The reason he mentions qatars stadiums is becuase we for 50 years have only had one world class stadium and they can build 7 just for a tournement

Now a day later, I'm even more upset about the loss.

We controlled play for most of the game. We conceded 2 garbage goals, including one on an "onside" that I'm suspicious of.

We were still controlling the game a man down and still hit a damn post.

        F*** you football.

I thought he was good due to his good performance as striker for Team Omid.

It is really questionable how GN and TM are blaming the result on bad luck and "this is how football works"
After the group stage we had 3 games

                1. We received 1 red against syria and 1 against qatar. 2/3 games ended with red card

                2. We scored 5 goals during this time. 3/5 of our goals were penalties! The only goal that really was the result of a coordinated attack was Mohebbis 1-1 against Japan which was based on Sardars momentum. Everything else was just "go for it, sth. good will somehow happen. If the opponent is prepared for that like qatar was we are screwed.

                3. We received an unlucky goal against Syria. It is claimed: Before we were doing well. 1 unlucky goal against Japan, 2 unlucky goals against qatar. Nobody is that unlucky. There is a clear pattern!!! In offense, we have the quality but it is wasted because of bezan ziresh that suits the likes of Moghanlou more that Taremi and Saman. Defense: All our unlucky goals were either bc of Beiranvand brainfarts or our slow defense that is strong when you park the bus a la CQ but is raped when confronted with fast forwards and open space.

                4. In addition to that, the coaching was horrendous. I mean even GN himself realized at HT against qatar and subned the slowest ones. Until then, we received 2 unnecessary goals. Our fastest players in defense were injured bc not rested although possible (Sadegh, Majid) or benched (MiMo). Qatar realized our weak spot and went for it. We did this to ourselves!

                  100%

It's only when you dissect the games and out pattern of play you realise the mess we're in.

I agree with most of your points but to be fair to man, GN said he takes all of the blame. And as you explain, so he should. It is in good part his fault.

He could help it though that a stalwart like Taremi was useless throughout the tournament. And some elements of luck like bad schedules.

Must disagree! He was by far the worst player on the field. This was the game to have Moharami (I know he was unavailable). We needed someone to mark Afif tightly and take him out of the game. The guy was the beneficiary of every poor cross attempt by Ramin. They kept sending the ball to the space behind Ramin. I felt sorry for Kanani trying to cover for Ramin but not having the speed. The only worse performance was that of the coach reverting to playing the ball back to Biranvand so many times for the long kicks. I also felt sorry for Azmoun who worked so hard to send the ball to JB but did not get a decent service the whole game. For the second half, I wanted to see Saman play the right back and Taremi playing the 10 with Mohebi subbed in for Ramin.

That's just blabla. If he took responsability, he should resign

We should have dominated when going up 1-0 but now I know why we lost. It is so obvious

we were out analyzed, on top of being out coached. Same thing happen vs Syria and against Japan we had success because GN said he had prepared for all the big teams. It’s clear they had no analysis of Qatar and as golbezan says our best analyst has some bootleg $400 Barca degree. Looking back at game afif always found empty pockets of space and taremi was completely taken out of game. Again, modern football is all about analysis no longer 1990s just go out and play.

we won’t succeed until we have that level of analysis

According to V3, he has a stipulation in his contract which keeps him as manager till WC 2026 if he reached the semi finals. So a priori IFF had determined that reaching the semis is success enough. Don't think either party would back away unless there would be a big public or player reaction against him.

Sure, you are right, there were some additional points. Even though I found it stupid to play Sadegh and Majid, I got to admit that the no. of injuries was unusual. And GN is screwed bc depending on Taremi is a rollercoaster. But my point is: even if Jahanbakhsh scored the last goal: It was a fucked up performance, we should not need 7 forwards to score against qatar. And we should not have 3 defenders chasing Afif who has his way with us. These are fundamental problems we are dealing with, not bad luck.
