He has to go. We had one good game against Japan and that was it.

Struggled against Syria and Hong Kong. Conceaded 7 goals in 6 matches and choked when we only had Qatar and Jordan in our way of winning the whole thing.

I'd take Renard in a heartbeat if he's an option.

Come on man. Give the guy some time.

We've changed so many managers in the past 4 years.

It's not like Skocic scenario where the team looked completely clueless.

I've seen enough from him. I respect him from the work he did on the Japan game, but to be completely honest, for me, that gets overshadowed by the Qatar choke job.

His unprofessional antics in the press conference have no place in modern football anymore, i'm sorry. You don't question things out of your control and imply the cards are inherently stacked against your players going into the most important match of their life. That didn't help motivate them on the pitch as clearly evidenced by the performance and stupid antics like Azmoun yelling at the ref like a maniac when the ball is in play.

We need an actual professional who gets respect from the players, not a thug who swears at them like a laat on the street corner. It's gross

No decent foreign coach will want to come to Iran in the current political context - not just Iran itself but the greater middle east conflict.

None of the domestic coaches can handle the crazy media, team politics and all the other psychological pressures from a mentally drained population of 88 million.

Agree with 2nd point but "us against the world" is a common tactic.

Sir Alex did it all the time.
                GN delivery is terrible though

"Why is the ref Arab?" and "hopefully the match is not decided by the referee" can have the same intent just better delivered.

Unfortunately nothing GN does will fix our players emotional maturity. Not even CQ could.

I think training in a North Korea work camp or a bunch of Iranians having kids with the Japanese and raising them to be footballers 20 yrs later is the only way to fix that

He should be judged by his WC campaign and WC performance. Not now.

I have hope he will make big changes.

No thanks. We saw. Decent foreign coach of HK, Syria and Qatar gave him a lesson

                      Iran isn't Iraq or Syria

Are people in a dream world and don't realise the current political situation ...and how different the context is in Iran vs Iraq or Syria? We aren't talking about safety of citizens here.

Are people asleep when it comes to geopolitics? FFS

Russia is safer than many countries but unlikely to get a good foreign coach there. The global pressure on Katanec or Cuper for coaching the team of a "country which sponsors terrorism" means they won't manage Iran any time soon

I'm amazed that this is news for people.

                        His contract has been extended.

Get rid of Manicone and Alhoei. Bring two out of Hashemian, Mansourian, Aghajanian, Marzban as replacements.

Would be nice to see Human get a bigger role - the guy who thought that Mirzapour deserves 90 minutes every game for two years can build the next era of our football.

Ramin bye keep, he has his good days and bad days. He plays with his heart trying his best most of the times. His crosses are useful.

                            Moghanlu out
                            Asadi out

both are top scorers in Iran Pro League but useless in Team Melli. Sayyadmanesh, Barzegar are better than them. Even Kaveh Rezaei who is above 30 is better than them.

Moghanlou and asadi are the enayati and khatibi of 2023. Fortunately we have better players than 2007 to hide these frauds
