Unfortunately no matter what we do he will stay. He was given one job and that job was to get to the semifinals of the AC, which he did.

Unfortunately due to several football relsted and nonfootball related matters the circle of coaches continues to shrink for Team Melli. Its been getting worse and worse for the last 4 yrs. Its GN and then one of Yahya/Nekounam. Maybe Morais. The rest of the world doesnt want to and IFF does not care otherwise.

Iran is now no different to Russia in terms of global image, and risks for coaches. We aren't an Iraq or Syria with their US bases and KFC. Maybe 10 years ago it was different but now no one like Katanec or Cuper will come near Iran. Especially with gradual escalation of Israel-Palestine war

The only potential foreign coaches are the real journeyman snake oil salesmen who wouldn't be able to get a good job elsewhere or can't last more than a year in one place.

Yahya might handle the players but I don't think he would handle media and politics in TM

Honeymoon period is sorta over for GN too, from here on, he'd have to start his promised rejuvenation process of TM and prove he could still attain respectable results using some of his own introduced younger promising footballers than keep relying on the fast Aging current stars of TM who were all brought on into the international fold and polished by his predecessors ..!

I would love Renard or even a Felix Sanchez to come in. I understand foreign coaches can be very risky , Klinsmann has pretty much failed everywhere he’s gone .
