Gonna get flamed for this but in my opinion Hossein Hosseini is a more complete keeper than both Niazmand and Beiranvand. If in my opinion he had been given more starts for TM before England match, we wouldn't have conceded as much. He looked nervous having to come in under those circumstances. He shows a type of calm and relaxation that both Beiro and Niazmand lack

if a number2 cant come in and adapt when needed then he isnt a good keeper. if we're being honest all our keepers arent good enough.

Doesn't make him a great keeper but better than the rest.
He was by far the best keeper in the CQ era, no question about that.

This isn't like Mirzapour situation where we had other keepers but Branko and Human Afazeli said that there is no one better than Mirzapour and he played 23 consecutive games without getting a minute subbed, even for meaningless friendlies..

Beiranvand is definitely one of Iran's best ever keepers, it's just over the last 3-4 years he has made a lot of sootis and we now have other keepers who have come of age, as opposed to during the Queiroz era

IMO, GK was always a weak position for Iran, more than other position. The level is quite low and that's why a far from perfect Beiro is the best he have/had.
Like some attacking players that do a couple a fancy dribble is hyped as the new Ronaldinho, any GK that do a couple a fancy saves (most of the saves are just the striker shooting straight on the keeper) is hyped more than his current value/potential.
About GK, we should considered the full package "save + exit on center + sootis prone + footwork + general behavior/self-confidence/mental" and so far I have never seen an iranian GK having all. Sooti prone is the most basic criteria (except if the rest largely outweight occasional sootis).

Akhbari and Gordan aren't/wasn't world class GK but I find them very underrated.

I watched the highlights for Spain game and besides a very unorthodox punch away for a corner he had little to do with us icing Spain. In fact it was our defense esp Majid Hosseini.

As for Syria game we were cruising to an uninspiring win against a clueless in attacking Syria side. Beiranvand gave them a penalty which reduced our lifespans a few weeks.
He did what he had to do! That's all we can ask.
So many other goalies would be in the wrong spot, not strong enough, not long enough on those shots and crosses.
He is also better at reading the game (despite his sootis the past few months).

Our defense was ok against Spain, but should have done better considering we parked the bus
. Instead it was our midfield doing alot of work - Ebrahimi, Taremi, and Amiri were crushing the Spaniards physically and tiring them out.

You are right that Beiranvand caused the penalty in the Syria game, but that was because of a sooti by the defense beforehand. He also saved a penalty kick, something we have been desperate for sinec Abedzadeh times!

He’s played what ? Two Asian champions league finals , two world cups and a heap of games and still performs a handball outside his box against an Asian minnow. Says it all really. Mentally and emotionally this guy hasn’t developed and that’s why he will never be a big European player

I agree with you. I think people are way too harsh on him. At worst he's an above average GK.

He's been the best goalkeeper since Abedzadeh overall but that doesn't mean if he deteriorates we shouldn't phase in a replacement

Honestly, I feel like Amir Abedzadeh deserves another chance. IMO he was amazing. Check out this save, would any other current TM goali be able to do that? Note how far that first shot was, and how much he had to stretch, yet he still managed to do (now compare this to Beiros performance on the 3rd Qatar goal...)

Amir had one weak moment against Korea, that cost him his position it seems. (I don't count that strange Algeria game, as pretty much every single TM player was horrible that day).
Meanwhile, Beiro is having bad moments at least once in every single game since WC2018. I was a huge fan of Beiro. Still am, but he should have been replaced years ago imo. If Abedzadeh is not viable, I'd prefer Niazmand. Either way, Beiro must go imo.

haha good question! Since he is my teammate, I have to chose Vakashimaso, but I have a great rivalry with Vakibyoshi too

He (Abedzadeh) had a howler of a sooti in his new club just a few months ago.

100%. He was very good but has gotten sloppy and too full of himself. I also think he was under CQ discipline which made him play way better. Honestly in every Asian cup game he looked bad. Its ok to have 1-2 bad games. But a NT goalie is not suppose to be so weak every game for so long. Give a chance to some others. Make him fight for his spot. That and his khaye maali of the rahbar and Islamic regime has both contributed to his downfall.
