This feels like Mirzapour discussion on this forum again (although to be fair in that instance the other keepers didn't even get a single minute courtesy of Angolan tyre), when we had Rahmati making his claim as a great keeper, a really on-form Roudbarian, even Talebloo and Vaezi performing well enough to get a shot.

I could never convince Houman Afazeli here that other keepers deserved a minute of game time.

Rafiei has 4 shut outs in a row for Persepolis and the kid is only 22. I have not watched the last few games so I can’t comment but that’s an impressive stretch.
      Team Meli Iran
      Perspolis FC
      Malavan Bandar Anzali

We should phase him out or call him only as a back-up keeper. I feel like since he is our main keeper is very susceptible to taking bribes. He possibly may have taken one at the Asian Cup.

How many times have we witnessed Beiro doing weird stuff, and for some reason we still can't get rid of him? When's the last time we saw a good save from him, besides his penalty catches? When was his last good exit? Whenever Beiro is in goal, I get a heart attack when players pass back to him lol

would we ever see something like THIS from Beiro?: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/93oxt_DPqeo
(Btw this save was in that very Korea game)

Now don't get me wrong. I was a huge Beiro fan, and will forever fondly remember his golden days in TM. But it's been long overdue imho... Should have had Abedzadeh as first GK in the WC and AC imo.
Abedzadeh made huge & very amateurish mistakes in the very first few chances he got to show himself.

others were bad during Algeria match? Sure... Although I blame the terrible tactics from skocic for our bad play.... But what was abedzadehs excuse? .... he made very amateur mistakes in sensitive moments that could easily cost the team.... That's the life of a goal keeper.... The mistakes you make are much more costly for your team.

those were his opportunities to show himself and he blew it badly

Maybe he's improved now after some time and deserves another shot?... Possibly but it makes sense that he was dropped after his initial poor performances and the amateur nature of his mistakes that are very costly.

I just like the fact that we have a player who played for a non-league team named after a journeyman like Tony Dorigo

I am 99% sure, and I said it right after the cup too and made a thread on it...something was off with Beiro that day vs Qatar, and it wasn't technical/football related. It doesn't mean that he'll ever do it again, but being involved in something like that once or even for any mins of a game is unforgivable and is a disgrace to the privilege of putting on the TM jersey.

How could you guys claim he got a bribe. Two deflections and you think he took a bribe?

                  I don't think he got a bribe

I just think he is a really talented keeper who doesn't know the very, very basics of positioning

We see him doing phenomenal saves sometimes because he is so out of position and he rescues himself. Other times he gets nose bleeds through doing crazy things (seven times I count, now)

Needed a good keeper coach when he was 20

Hosseini is a better GK than Beiro rn. He should be starting. I think he's always been on par with him

Agreed. When people say Beiranvand is better than Hosseini it's because of past form. Sure maybe he was better a few years ago, but currently Hosseini is in better form.

I can't believe we are debating if we should change the keeper who in the highest level of game of the Asian Cup:

                      1. Handled the ball outside of his box.
                      2. Conceded 7 goals in 6 games!!
                      3. Cannot use his feet to seriously dribble.
                      4. Makes no effort to save wide shots or deflections
                      5. ALSO makes the same mistakes at club level.

Its always Perspolis fans defending Beiro, imagine if Hosseini handled the ball outside of the box? We wouldn't even be having this discussion, he would be benched immediately 🤣

Color don't matter when it comes down. To tm..

Biravand should be judged base on 2 matches
                        only
                        Japan and qatar
Other matches tm can have anyone in gol and win.

Same with general judge him against japan and qatar only

I sort of agree... sort of. He did make amateurish mistakes that game. But let's be honest here: stuff like that is literally what Beiro does in almost every game... just look at the last AC: Hands outside the penalty area, causing a penalty kick, not catching very catchable shots etc... according to your own logic Beiro should have been benched or dropped from TM 5 times over by now just based on the last AC.

I don't think Abedzadeh had an excuse for that Algeria game, but neither did the other TM members. They all played horrible, he was just one of them. they all were all over the place.

As for his mistake against Korea, which is the only mistake I really count from him: I agree with you, that sucked. But he had an overall great performance that game and made saves we would never see from Beiro (like the double save I provided in my earlier post)

again: don't get me wrong. I was a huge Beiro fan, and still am. I really wish for than him to regain his past form. But TM is more important and unfortunately he has been pretty inconsistent ever since WC 2018 and should have been dropped long ago imo.

from what I have seen in TM, I also liked Niazmand, and would aso be open for Hosseini. But I think Abedzadeh should definitely get back to TM and get another chance.

He is not too "sade" the way he looks, he's a smart and successful goalkeeper, but anyone can take bribes especially if you are not too professional in football. I understand you can be "Madyun" to a club, but what has PP (or any other Iranian club) ever done to most football players other than not giving their salaries on time, selling you off for profit, or using your talent with low pay for their interests?

Just a few legends may have played for this club, but that does not entitle them to create such a culture, after all, this culture stems down to all players and the youth. So when I say he is susceptible to bribes, it's because most internal football players are not getting paid enough, and that makes him a target in such a good position to take the fall. I also claimed that he may have taken it, I didn't say he did take it.

It seems like someone may have bribed you to suggest this accusation.

I can assure everyone here its not bribes, his form is just that bad since going to Belgium. He has had a few moments of brilliance but in general he's been just an "ok" keeper, making quite a few errors both club and national team level. This is not the same Beiranvand that pushed Eza in the 2018 Portugal game for not doing his job correctly, his passion is 0.
