Group f and e 1st place won't play any 3rd place teams in r16.

Dose that mean Group f 1st and 2nd play Group e 1st and second in r16?

We have to play either Portugal or morroco in r16.

In our group, France seems to be 2nd tier UEFA, it came from the same qualification group as Croatia against Slovakia and Germany, the latter having basically no professional futsal culture. Only worthy team they hardley beat was Serbia.
Guatemala is one of the stronger CONCAFAF teams, but we should beat them like we did multiple times before.
Venezuela is hard to tell, also rather 2nd tier CONMEBOL. Got a solid 3rd place in CONMEBOL qualification, losing 3-0 to Brazil.
My ranking would be Iran > Venezuela > France > Guatemala, with all games relatively narrow.

Group E is Portugal, Panama, Morocco and Tajikistan. First glance is upper half Portugal/Morocco, bottom Tajikistan/Panama. Tajikistan did perform very well but its their first world cup. Morocco really has a good run, check their 2023 results against Argentina, all African teams, some Asian teams, they did not lose and often win by decent margins, comparable to Iran:

Portugal is still strong, no doubt about that.

If we win that game, quarterfinal would be the winner of 1B/3ACD, so probably 1B = Brazil

Best strategy is therefore to not to become first in our group


If we become second in our group, our next opponent would be 2B.
2B could be Thailand/Croatia/Cuba, while Croatia is imo the weakest UEFA team. Cuba is also not the strongest CONCAFAF team, rather Guatemala/Panama and we won against them.
If we win that game, quarterfinal would be the winner of 1A/3CDE. Group B is rather weak but balanced (Uzbekistan, Paraguay, Netherlands, Costa Rica). The 3rd places from CDE could be for example Afghanistan, Libya, Tajikistan.
In any case our quarterfinal opponent would rather be a 2nd tier / not top 10 team.

To be honest, would prefer the second path, after that (in the semis) we get to the likes of Argentina/Portugal and final Brazil or Spain.

2 e is most probably morroco Africa champ.
tm played them in friendly before ac and lost the game and big fight broke out...most probably tm will play them.it be fun to watch.

AC failure had nothing to do with with being first/second in group and more had to do with coaching mismanagement from our coach and staff in terms of player selection and tactics. Let's not blame anyone else other than GN for waiting till minute 90 vs Qatar to make tactical subs

Tbh thats just excuses for us to feel better. How many fresh players did we have? We had Torabi/Gholizadeh/Ghaedi/Taremi all ready to go. That short rest time never really mattered because mister general decided to bring 6 strikers and only 4 midfielders (he could have brought 4 strikers, included nourallahi and an extra CB/fullback).

We lost because GN has bad philosophy with substitutes and randomly decided to change tactics to 4-2-3-1 full time after Japan game (With Taremi as LW for first time in 2 years)

our players suck on 3 days rest and qatar match was 2 and half...history has shown tm suck on 3 days rest....both cq and general made mistake fielding almost same players after beating wales and Japan......both got scared touching wining line up and tactic....cq even dug his own grave by playing injured biravaNd over game ready hossini.

MY FINAL OPINION STAY THE SAME
WE DISNT ADVANCE FROM 22 WC GROUP DUE TO MAHSA AMINI
, AND WE DIdNT ADVANCE to ac final because we
Choose finish 1st instead of second.
