I feel that quality of football has been on a gradual decline since WC 2010 and 2014. Non of the new star players are even remotely comparable to the likes of Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo (Brazilian and Portuguese) Zidane etc.

Aside from individuals even the powerhouses no longer play an entertaining and exciting football

^ The game has never been the same since the Spaniards introduced the Tiki-Taka style of play. It maybe efficient and gets you results, but at times it is painful to watch.
