June 5, 2025: Qatar - Iran | (Away)
June 10, 2025: Iran - North Korea | (Home)
The October games will be the hardest.
The November games will be the most exhausting as we will have to probably fly to North Korea (or maybe China) and then fly to Kyrgyzstan.
The Qatar game in June will also be very hard as the heat at that time will be excruciating especially as its end of season.
My prediction is we will tie too many games and it will be a very annoying and drawing out qualification:

Using the tool Nokhodi shared, this is y prediction.

Qatar will be complacent, not super worried about them.
UAE will do better than expected. They have a decent manager.
We will suffer two losses. One in Uzbekistan , one in Doha. GN will attempt to shore up the defence at the expense of offense, but I feel like individual mistakes will cost us some game.
Also feel like Koon goshadi and moaning from Mehdi + Sardar will dampen our attack.
Uzbekistan will be the surprise team of the qualification.

I'd rather have us forget this WC and focus on our youth instead. Fire Ghalenoi, bring in a new coach, scout as many players as possible, create a diverse team and give them enough playtime. Figure out who's not good enough and get rid of them early. This way we can have a solid foundation for WC 30. Because, let's be honest, even if we top the group, Ghalenoi is going to embarrass us no matter who we draw.

If we had a proper coach, this could be such a good opportunity for development. Playing less strong teams where calculated risks can be taken, giving others ample opportunities. Can mix in good friendlies as well and really have a cohesive plan for 26'. But no, we're led by donkeys.

We just need to cut out some options and bring the young players on bench and a couple more into the Starting XI fray.
2 years from now they'll be more mature.
GN or not we cant afford to throw away a WC.
This world cup will also be the first 48 team one in US/Canada/Mexico which will be broadcast farther than any World cup previously. We need the exposure

I agree with Nokhodi that the qualification may be more drawn out than we hope.
I hope we are able to avoid losses in our away games. Even on days where we are bad, we have this tendency to let it get to a loss. If we are terrible in an away game vs Uzbekistan, Qatar, or UAE just take the point.
It will be interesting to see how the games between those three go. If Qatar/UAE tie each other twice it will hurt their chances a lot.
As for Qatar retiring players, the vast majority of their players who started against us in Asian Cup are not retired.
Haydos came off the bench.
Some of their defenders are older with Lucas Mendes and Pedro turning 34 this summer. They are very important to Qatars physicality so they would be losses for sure if they retired or lost their legs.
One forward Ismael Mohammad who subbed into the game is 34 now also.
Saad Al Sheeb didnt play vs Iran. Meshaal Barsham did.
Another sub that game Abdulaziz Hatem, a midfielder, is turning 34 in October.

The problem is though, and I quote from his own words, "Noorafkan and Moghanlou will be at the 2026 WC" which makes me skeptical he is going to put in the effort to address any of our issues.

I don’t see why we couldn’t start the younger players in the 2024 Asian cup v Hong Kong . Why not play a hosseinjhad for that match? Cheshmi and ansarifarid both played badly in that game too. I don’t get what’s the point really in playing such old players against one of the weakest sides in the Asian cup. It’s a good low pressure environment to integrate youth.
I don’t think gn is the right man to move this team forwardPlease watch and Subscribe:
