You have players who are just plain lazy in training like Marcus Rashford ,at ManU , he got benched then banned and traded eventually , he wasn’t training hard , but still when he played he would score …

that is how arnautovic is , but he scores when given a chance to play,,,

unlike Taremi who trains super hard , but man he sucks ass when he plays plus he can’t do that one thing they need him to do is score ,,,

Taremi is doing all the little things that coach’s love ,other than actually do the one thing that is his primary task which is scoring ,

if he was a defender or a defensive midfielder you would say Taremi doing amazing, but he is a forward …..

Unfortunately something came up and I couldn't watch the game tonight but Arnautovic in before Taremi, and then scoring, is NOT a good sign!

around 25' min marcus went off, injured? figured Mehdi would go in for him but inzaghi instead called upon Arnau..! 😬 :/
he actually played a semi-decent game, as you said he did get a go ahead goal shortly after the break...! got up well inside box to head in and perfectly placed cross..!
then inzaghi had to go to bench again due to key players picking up yellow cards, with the sub in of zelinski , zealowslky , and especially that goozoo farteressi Inter lost the possession battle and the rusty arnautovich looking tired.... he brought on Taremi for him around 76-77' primarily in order to hold on to the lead and get the vital W...! and it worked obviously , with mehdi as expected hustled defensively and pressed well from top, had a great take-away tackle which led to a good counter opportunity which got wasted by his teammates..!! another scene he dribbled well inside the box and had a couple small openings to take shot on goal but per usual instead he laid it off to zelinski for an errant effort..!!

i think the last few games he was given minutes as a starter and sub, he didnt fully apply himself and looked to me outa sink and slow ..thats why inzaghi been hesitant to give him more minutes off late..and today brining Arnau off the bench coulda yet been another hint and message to mehdi to not take playing minutes for granted again..!!?
also they were pushing hard in attack early in the game and although got a few close calls they badly needed a go ahead goal and in a way inzaghi was badly desiring a revenge win against a side which embarrassed em a few days ago, so i assume he figured Arnau to be more of goal scoring threat than mehdi...!? or maybe giving more time for mehdi to recover from his recent rib injury ? Probably mixture of the above as the reasoning for picking Arnau ahead of Mehdi in the attacker sub role..!!

Man I swear ya'll are so doom and gloom and are reading into this way too much. MT has been "injured" or "sick", coach is taking it easy on him. He has NOT lost favor. Just easing back in. Give it time.
