Unrelated but Khéphren Thuram (Marcus Thuram's brother) is actually so fucking good man, he singlehandedly dismantled Inter midfield second half until he got subbed out. I'm jealous I wish Ezatollahi could play like that
Serves Inzaghi right for pulling hard working Taremi off.
we all want him to be on the front foot and instead of one-mind-assist, to have a go. For once our boy takes matters to his own hands and heads for goal. So what he didn’t make it, How many times have Lautaro or Thuram messed up? Lautaro miscued so many shots, Inzaghi didn’t angrily head for his subs??
You guys are monsters. Taremi makes one mistake and it justifies an immediate sub? How many points have they dropped the rest of the season when other players did the same multiple times.

deserved loss for inter.
I do think that expectations are too high and fans demand too much of him as backup strikers given the 0 service he always gets.
But at the same time I think that he's probably done at Inter unless he scores like two hat tricks between now and the next 8 weeks. Arnautovic had 8 goals last season and they still wanted him gone. Can't imagine Marotta keeping Taremi with 1 penalty goal in Serie A. I also can't imagine Inter fans having patience with him like this, he would be miserable and constantly feel pressured

I agree he’ll get sold but not for the reason you said. Arnautovic last year had 5 serie a goals and 2 champions league goals and 3 assists. So G+A of 10 in 1150 mins of playing time. Mehdi has played 1220 mins so far and has 3 goals 5 assists so G+A of 8. So he’s underperformed from a stats perspective slightly but I think his workload and defensive duties makes up for it. Regardless, I think Marotta has realized that given the hectic schedule with all of the new competitions and Saudi involvement, having an average squad age of 29 years old does not cut it. For this reason, I think they will unload at least Arna if not Mehdi as well this summer. It’s games like today where Mehdi could really prove his value and moments like the bicycle kick. Heif ke naraft tu goal vali there’s will be more opportunities in the next month but I agree, his time at Inter is running out. He has been getting a fair bit of playing time but his lack of selfishness and maybe lack of confidence alongside his peers isn’t helping him at all. Bar aks it makes him more oghdei and he takes it out on poor Mohebbi and Ghaedi in the TM camps🤣🤣

Ultimately its not good for us either because a Taremi with low confidence is not good in just 15 months at the WC
the most likely purchasers will be ayrab or shitt EU league clubs ....!! he still has 1 more year guaranteed there..!!
he could and likely would refuse to be offloaded and take his chances with limited minutes off the bench, like Carrea/ Arnau this season..!
still Much will depend on how well/bad Inter fare by season's end..!!?
if Inter fail to garner any trophies or go deep into ucl, then they will surely dump him and many other oldies and make significant personnel changes in off season, otherwise their Thrifty nature will win the day again in the market...!
Mehdi is defo versatile enough of a footballer to switch playing position to more of 10/8/9 and still get respectable minutes next season, be it often from the bench..!
and there is still a very good chance of another midtable SerieA club come close to matching his wages and grab him on the free from Inter, if nerrazuri manage to attract a couple of promising young strikers in offseason..! remember they first have to find Proper replacements for Carrea and Arnau before they get to force Mehdi out..!! and they dont have deep enough pockets to attract really quality young strikers capable of forcing Mehdi to deep bench ..!?
today he actually performed quite well in 1st half, but the whole of Inter really came out flat at HT, (Mehdi included, maybe fatigued too quick/still hasnt recovered fully??) especially in MF dept. and rightfully got overrun by the hosts..!
to boot Inter were simply dreadful after his removal from the game, with Correa looking completely lost in scheme and Marcus similarly looking very rusty and still not fully fit, and Lauti not even getting decent openings at goal that he was getting in the first half partnering mehdi..!
I watched Taremi until he was subbed off. He’s a selfless player on a team that has too many selfish players.
Overall, his teammates don’t look for him, or give him the simple layoff or cut back pass he’s looking for.
The fact he was subbed off because of one mistake, is harsh.
The reason why he has such great chemistry with Azmoun on TM, is because they’re both extremely selfless, and as a result, both get rewarded statistically.
I’m starting to think Inter isn’t the best fit for him, less to do with his own talent, but rather his teammates’ mentality.
