Dadash I fully agree but at the end of the day he has 0 goals in Serie A from open play. If he wants to stay Inter long term he needs to be clinical. No matter what kind of talent he gives behind the ball, that is unacceptable from any forward getting as many minutes as him, end of discussion. Arnatuovic has triple his goals! Correa has more despite only playing like 5 minutes all season. He is clearly not having a good season at all for a player of his caliber.

He needs to have a complete reset in health and mentality. No more being shy, get up there and make a long shot instead of constantly passing it in the box. No more going for a tokhmi bicycle kick, he's almost 6'3 he needs to use his height for an actual header. Otherwise he's gonna get traded out for some 20 year old African forward.

Imagine if he hadn't scored a goal for TM in over 1500 minutes, and we said "its okay because he does other things on the pitch". No, we would be out to get him like a bunch of meymoons

baba its a Team Sport afterall .... it takes more than just goals to Win games ..!! it's been his immense versatility and hard work especially in defensive transition and pressing from top and intangible contributions that has been his saving grace so far @ inter in lieu of scoring..!
he almost seem to be a striker in name only in this Inter Team set-up & overall tactics anyways.. ?? more like striker decoy for Lauti and Marcus..?
i mean ensaafan do you really believe he's been targeted with proper service regularly and with even remotely enough consistency to expect goals-galore from a guy who never was a great finisher to begin with..?
we already witnessed in Preseason that when he is the focal point of their attack and given proper service on regular basis he can still rack up pretty decent scorer's figures too..!!
his attacking partners currently hardly ever look to him for finishing touches, he is lucky to be on the receiving end of even 1fkn proper service in the box per game played...!! sure this could well be partly his own fault for possibly bad positioning or being too goal-shy and overly unselfish in the attacking front which is also somewhat normal considering he is partnering with perhaps 2 of the most prolific strikers in eu football..!

to top all that the guy supposedly been also struggling with some sort of a nasty, recurrent Hernia injury..!! :/
i dont know if you ever had hernia problems while playing even recreationally, i have in long past and that is one bizar acting painful damn injury ...!! sometimes it shoots up sharp pains down your legs and when you try to run fast it fking shoot up pain to side of your stomach making so damn painful to even try to take deep breath as if you got many broken ribs..!!

mehdi hasnt quiet matched the intensity of the game so far and too many sloppy and poor first touches from him on the attacking front .....his defensive pressing and pressure though been pretty decent as usual..!!

he also needs to do a better job of opening himself in the crowded box ... bit too stale ....needs to become more lively ..!!

Even in his prime he wasn’t a poacher or a clinical finisher. If he was, he would’ve buried the goal against Portugal during the last 10 minutes of WC2018 match. He had a fantastic run at Porto but that was his ceiling. Props to him for taking the next step and challenging himself but sadly he isn’t cut out for this league.

He’s definitely not 100% and is short of confidence but no wonder he has groin issue. He has been running endlessly in that central corridor with getting very little or no service.

Generally Inter seems to run out of collective-work ideas and movements in the final third. Their goal by Thuram was individualistic too.

i concede that was pretty nice ball laid off to him on the platter for the finish by marcus and he had plenty of space and wide open goal at his mercy and still shot right at the fkn keeper..!! 🤦♂️
his outside shooting technique has always been pretty poor anyhow che berese be accuracy and placement of it ...!! he couldnt dream of curling a shot to top corner like that of marcus goal..!!

more disappointing than missing that opportunity for me today has been his inability to match the pace and intensity of the match nor show the needed class and composure when in possession of the ball..! except that once instance where he held the ball well and passed to marcus on the left wing..!!
perhaps in 2nd half when naturally pace of the game settles down a bit he can impose himself better on the counter attacking upportunities that are sure to arrive with Fey still chasing the game..!!?


just think of him as another Mikhi (CM/AM) it makes it a lot easier to stomach his lame performance so far in this match..!!
