Just landed in Japan after a long flight and am catching up. What a treat to get an assist with his first start. I’m proud of our boy. Let’s enjoy this!

I think overall our boy had a good first game but far from his best. He admitted as well in the press conference as well. Dont you guys forget, it was his first official home game Infront of the home fans and not Stadio Dragao and opponents like Famalicao, Gil Viecente. This is Seria A and San Siro, it will take time to adept which he's obviously doing pretty well. It's very obvious that he's confident in his playing which is good. Also, the coach seems to have faith on him and was happy with his performance yesterday. With that said, he won't have so many chances to prove himself, so he needs to start scoring.

I think one of the biggest but most important difference between Seria A and Portuguese league would be the pace and reaction time he gets with every touch of the ball. In Portugal, he had plenty of time to think about receiving the ball, what he wants to do, etc. but you immediately noticed that on two occasions when he received the ball, he took too long to decide what he wants to do if he to pass or not and then he either lost the ball or it was a wrong pass due to time pressure. Even the Swedish commentator said so on both occasions. "Taremi has to realize that here he won't have the same time to act as he had in Portugal even if he was praising him otherwise.

Got a 7.3 rating on Flashscore (same as Thuram).

        not bad overall
And also, third best player selected by Panini which is the official sponsor for Seria A selecting MOM blablabla.

        1 Darmian
        2 Chaghalebadom (Turkish guy )
        3 Mehdi
        4 Thuram

baba bi khial, you're still talking about his transfer failure to Milan? He didnt come to Milan because Milan RID and tried to hustle and made him like a fool and low-level player. They did not treat him as a star that he is and at the end they offered him a contract same level as their bench players.

This is one of the best leagues when it comes to defending! Much less space and reaction time..

I said for the same deal
and Milan offered less because Porto wanted 25 mil for him on an expiring contract, so one way or another Ac Milan couldnt over pay on both hands
clearly Milan failed but Mehdi could have walked to Ac Milan as a free agent and get more playing time but I believe the damage was done

Na ostad. That was BS with all due respect. It was never about Porto wanting more. It was the deal they offered Mehdi at last. They did adjusted the deal (Reduced from 3,5 M to 2,5 M per year to be able to match Portos Request. And Mehdi declined.

funny how these goozoos on ir tv give such longasss, hours long interviews with players, sherOvering for some 2hours without saying much of real substance nor provide some clarification to the one damn question we all viewers wanted to hear about Mehdi..?? :/
all tuned in and sat n watched in vain (@least i did) for some hour+ of mostly kososhereh taf dade in hopes of finally figuring what really was the main reason for that long and drawn out and ultimately collapsed transfer to milan ??? and left more confused and in doubt than b4 watching..!!

anyways, i too suspect that besides Porto front office generally playing hardball in negotiation that summer and then trying to attach yet more pork to their portion of the final agreement (by inserting an additional agent late in the negotiation demanding more commision from Milan), Milan Reps in return idiotically tried to recover some of those lost funds to porto from what woulda been Mehdi's fair market wages...!! thus essentially Low-balling him on the offered personal Pay Package..!!?
i suspect, just from watching Mehdi going way overboard with general choploosi of Inter in his club intro vids that ACM had in one way or another offended him personally last summer during the negotiations for his move to Milan, and now he was trying stick it back to Milan folks by signing with Inter as a free agent and say that it was "his life long dream to join Inter" blah blah 😒 👀 when he was inches close to joining their cross town rivals just a year ago..!! lol

                      ps
it is also important to note had that transfer to Milan gotten over the line, Mehdi was standing to Make an additional sum of 3mil or so from his 15% future transfer kick back in Porto's contract..!! so perhaps Milan assumed they can use that extra earned income of Taremi and the fact that he was extremely eager to finally force a move away from Porto to a superior level club as further leverage to Lowball Mehdi with embarrassingly low, bench player wage offerings..?

anyways moral of the story is koooneh laghe Milan ... FORZA INTER...!!!

its high time for you finally come to your senses and start cheering for the Real Football Club that's the true pride of the city and rep of all of Milan ..!!

Yes, I'm Also very happy that he went to Inter instead! they're easily one of the top 5-8 teams in the world right now in my opinion. It's a blessing for us to have someone in a team this strong, and the first time we've had this in decades.

Have to appreciate Mehdi as easily our greatest legionnaire of all time and I don't think anyone will ever beat his record. He has 189 g/a in top 10 league across Rio and Porto, 16 G/A in champions league. And this is before he does anything at Inter, though he will prob not meet the same record due to age which is normal but still props to him.
