Like as in Mehdi being behind Thuram and Martinez? Wasn't that established already anyway? I thought that's been crystal clear for some time now.

Inter as a whole were pretty shol.
They played with no hunger.

Mehdi did decent, although his pressing wasn't as good as usual this match.

Should have had an assist, but on the other hand should have done better with the two chances he got himself.

He's clearly Inter's third best striker. It's a long season, and he will be getting plenty of playing time (barring an injury of course).

Sardar hardly ever looked like he belonged in the top level, Mehdi on the other hand is exactly where he deserves to be.

There is a huge difference between Sardar and Mehdi's situation. Sardar was bought for a very high price and brought in to to be the striking partner with Schik. Taremi was brought in with much lower wage to be a complimentary striker to 2 established goal scorers. For the amount of money the paid for Taremi, he is performing adequately. Its the cost benefit ratio. If they wanted to get rid of Mehdi and bring in someone better, they would have to pay up big time.

Brought for whatever reason or with whatever amount he needs to score! yes there are 2 world class strikers ahead of him but even a guy like Arnautovic scored 7-8 last year all competition

Iran_19 Jan, of course they’d like him to score but I don’t think that was their main reason for signing him.

they scouted him for 3 years and they surely saw that finishing is not his best skill. Instead they saw he’s a great runner, can make chances out of nothing, and is probably one of the most effective attacking players when defending in the world …
Unless the main 2 strikers really fall from form, inzaghi will continue to utilize Taremi as he has.

He used to be an amazing finisher. He could score a goal out of nothing. Unfortunately, at age 32, which is not that old, he has become toothless. Everytime he gets the ball, he passes it to someone else to finish the job instead of trying to score a goal by himself. That's not what people expect from a natural number 9.
