When was the last time Taremi started, and the team played fluid, attacking football?

I can’t remember a game he started and was outplayed by his striking partner.

I do think he can more selfish/aggressive, but then again, he does play the right way within the team.

If anything, Inzaghi needs to instruct his teammates to look for him more. They don’t seem to particularly look for him, even when he’s in decent positions.

Preseason Taremi was playing like a striker , he scored 4 goals assisted 2 , now he plays like a defensive midfielder….. idk how much of it is Inzaghi telling him hey play more defensive help the midfield and how much of it , is he just kinda scared to play with the ball and cause a mistake that led to them conceding, but whatever it is , he doesn’t play freely and doesn’t have the ability to just play his game right now , and this is impacting his form for TM as well …

But the truth of the matter is that , Taremi is a great experienced players but his role as a permanent starter on TM has to be questioned, he should still be on the team , but I feel
like he should be coming off the bench , in the past 1 year the best team we beat was Japan and we did it out him .

My prediction is that second half of season when Martinez + Thuram start champions league games, he will have 5-6 league starts to really boost his stats, so he's gotta make em count IMO. Until then he's gotta do what he's dealt with and try to poach a few goals.

Bingo….right on the money. Inzaghi gives him very specific instruction on what he wants and needs from Taremi and Mehdi delivers….that is why inzaghi always praises him for his performances. Sadly some fans can’t see past that and just say “BuT a sTrIkEr hAs tO sCoRe gOaLs oR hE sUcKs”…….thankfully I see more inter fans blocking nonsense like that out and praising him rather than trashing him like some on here. Now that said, I do think he needs to be more aggressive with the ball in the attacking third and get back to doing the things that helped create a name for himself but again it’s hard to do that when your coach has specific intructions for you to help out on defense so much.

bottom line is his finishing was never his best asset and now is at garbage level!

He may not and i didn’t say this in my post but he most likely wont be Inter next season which is ok for his age! He tried and failed to deliver! Still he came long way in his career just wished he could have moved earlier to highest level football (top leagues) and not at 32!

He has a 3 year contract and comes with a very cheap salary. He’s played the most minutes In the CL for inter (except for the goalie).

He’ll be fine. The inter fans like him. Inter has too many games to stick to one lineup and he’s still the 3rd striker.

The only people who seem to hate him are some Papers in Iran that he won’t give Shirini too and the usual Esteghlal haters.

im sure another Serie A club would snatch him on a free or 3-5 mil fee & gladly match his relatively low wages & give him much more prominent striker role ..!
the only selling temptation for Inter will likely be sparking outa of a juicy Ayrab Transfer offering$$ ..!
Otherwise he is still plenty useful & versatile enough of an attacking player to keep on their squad on a low 3mil a year wages even without high figure goals n assists .!

however as things stand currently Mehdi’s optional 3rd year of contract is definitely on the bubble ..!
next summer They’ll dump aurna & his high wages likely sell off Correa @ discount too in order to make room in salary to possibly tempt Mo in on heavily discounted pay but with promise of starting role on the RW ..!?

It’s highly unrealistic for Any piss poor SerieA club (Inter included ) to come even close to matching Mo Salas insanely high wages to lure him in as a FA..!
most probably another rich EPL side will sign him on a free agency market..! If LP don’t renew his contract first .!
