inzaghi rid big time not subbing in Mehdi for struggling tauro when up 4-2
defo after conceded another goal...!! other subs were also mostly headscratchers..!!

Mehdi may not be the most prolific scorer but he sure can press well from top and take away vital passing lanes from opposing MFdrs and if given slightest openings on counters can easily set up 1v1s on counters with brilliant vision and through ball passing range...!!
Inter really pissed away two valuable points vs a formidable opponent who is now very likely to challenge them for the league crown along with perhaps couple other teams..!! coulda well pull away from the old lady and had them chasing their tails for most the rest of the season..!!
mostly odd substitutions and especially defensive shape/opening themselves up so grossly defensively while up 4-2 at home were really bizarre decisions from Inzaghi, making me really question his rep for being supposedly a top 5 coach in club football..?? :/

TBH, I have noticed that Insaghi make strange subs game after game. And belive me, I'm not saying that because Mehdi but overall, I think his subs has been doubtful in number of matches and also if I remember correct, it's been subject for discussins by Media and experts.

well tbf, its partly because he's got such crowded, challenging schedule & a shallow-quality depth in his already aging, thin squad that as soon as a one of his starters get carded, he soon after subs them off, w/o proper regards for how those changes would affect his team's tactical organization and shape ...!
also lately small knocks and injuries on his key starters been piling on too, so there is that ..!!

but yea i agree to the jest of the point your making too...!! another dodgy subbing habit of his is wholesale changes ... subbing off like 2-3 players @ once which further fks over his team's shape and tactical structure and have them huffNpuffin just to close out games getting positive result in process..!!

          ps
Overall, at least for time being, the one big thing missing so far for mehdi at inter as compared to Porto is the Trust and value the coach has for his qualities and pedigree as a footballer..!!
SC rated Mehdi highly and always found a way to squeeze him in his starting 11 regardless of where on the pitch and in what role, while Inzaghi just doesn't ... at least not yet..! to him he is only a 3rd choice striker only, reserved for fixtures of lesser importance and only when his two starting 9s are either rested or tired in need of subbing..!

Whenever our players don't play, we blame the coach and challenge their substitutions. Ironically, we never do this when the subs go our way!

              true lol

The matter of the fact is that: Mehdi is not gonna get much league time till late January.

When UCL gets to knockout stages, him and Arna/Correa will play more league matches while Lautaro and Thuram get saved for knockout stages. He did this last year and its where the majority of Arna's goals came from as well.

Dooste aziz, I never mentioned Mehdi and I clerarly said that my statement had nothing to do with Mehdi, and if you go back to my earlier posts, I have never complained about Mehdis playing time in Inter, the opposit, I believe Insaghi has been pretty fair and he's obviously using the rotation system becuase of the busy schedule and I'm both glad and somehow that Mehdi has got basically 100% start in UCL which normally is very valuable. I said in general and I'm referring to games like the Derby for exempel when he subbed the whole midfield in the second half or some other games. Even Swedish commentators reacted to his subs.

Essi Jan, no worries I wasn't referring to you.

My agreement with that comment was based on how we always question coach when our players don't play but when they get play we call it a 100 IQ approach by the coach 🤣.
