I said it before and I'll say it again. He should have stayed at Porto. They would have built a mojasame for him after his farewell. Inter is not for him. He should maybe look for another club, where he gets playing time. The pressure and mistrust of the Inter fans get bigger, game after game. Heyf shod...

He spent too many years in second rated league such as Portugal! He should have moved to better league 2-3 years ago! That is how you evaluate chand marde halaje!
no offense to Portugal but even guy like Mehrdad Mo put up 6-7 goals!

If I was him and I had you guys as fans I wouldn't have tried at the AC either. Talk about constantly putting the guy down when he's the most successful Iranian player in Europe EVER. He doesn't owe anyone here anything. Even if he retired tomorrow he would go down as our greatest legionnaire ever.

155 G/A across all games in Portugal

            19 G/A in UCL

50 Goals, 23 assists for Team Melli in 90 caps (He has contributed 73/90 games played)

            All in 8 years.

Name me 1 legionnaire who actually stayed relevant for that long with those stats and we can talk

Porto is not old player club (except if you’re Pepe). They want to play young players, pump up their value, and sell them. He would’ve slowly started getting less and less minutes in Porto especially with SC gone. We would’ve all been here complaining about that and how Portos team is so terrible and didn’t even make the CL.

                Bove update:

On December 10, Bove underwent a surgery to install the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), a type of pacemaker that can prevent fatal cardiac arrest by delivering a shock to restore a normal heart rhythm. Since the ICD is not permitted to play in the Italian Serie A, the results of further medicals tests will determine if he will be able to remove the device or not, allowing him to play again with Fiorentina

Same story as Azmoun and Jahanbakhsh really. Each was king of 2nd tier league for 2-3 seasons, and even finishing as top scorer, but couldn’t step up to higher level. And for Iranian that’s still very good. But not everyone can be on Mahdavikia level. Best Asian young player, best Asian player, bundesliga top assister, two AC bronze, Asian games gold, 10+ years in Germany, and of course winning goal in world cup with better 1v1 finish than today’s forwards.

Jahanbakhsh and Azmoun shouldn't even be in the discussion of greatest legionnaire, they both had 10+ years in Europe and had 2 good seasons before losing fitness and disappearing. Mehdi has only had 4 years in Europe and pulled these stats, let's not forget he started very old and had to claw his way to Europe through PGPL and Arab leagues. And while I love Mahdavikia and think his career should be a role model for all of our young players, his stats are nowhere close to Mehdi's stats. 10 years in Hamburg and his final stats are 40% of Mehdi's stats. Portuguese league is ranked Special in the world, and that's just facts.

If you wanna hate on anyone go and hate on Azmoun for rejecting offer from Liverpool at 21 and Ezatollahi from rejecting senior team at Atletico for Russia.

Well Mahdavikia wasn’t a striker so naturally his offensive stats won’t be as high as Taremi’s. And the only fact here is Germany was and will always be higher level of football. We don’t say ’levels’ for fun. 20+ goals in Portugal converts to 0 goal in Italy so far.

And who is hating? You said name a player and I named him and gave supporting reasons. Why is you saying Taremi is better than MK not hating but other way around is hating? But I do consider your comment on JB as hating. He’s currently one of 2 TM players in a decent European league and he’s been starter so far. He hasn’t disappeared and my prediction is that he will still be playing in Europe when Taremi returns to Middle East. And in case you forgot, JB showed up for TM in last 2 AC match when Taremi had disappeared. His penalty against Japan was worth 10x more than Taremi’s consolation goals against England. JB not the best, but always giving more effort than MT/SA. Most unjustifiably hated player in TM history.

The reason the comparison doesn't make sense is because Mahdavikia had 10 years in Bundesliga. Mehdi Taremi finally reached Europe at age 28 after working his ass off. If Taremi had been direct transfer to Bundesliga at 21 he would probably have had a decent career there too! This guy was playing in muddy fields in Bushehr at age 22 until Daei found him!

No hate on ARJ as a person, super professional guy. I'm speaking strictly of his form because his fall off can be studied for generations to come. If you watch him play you can tell he moves awkwardly and why he couldn't find a team for last 7 months.

Taremi's CL performances and stats, considering how late he got started are nothing short of remarkable.
His stats and career are very underrated and we will only recall how damn good he was 10 years from now.

Trust me, we are going to be begging for someone like Taremi after he retires.
Same way we didn't find a Daei replacement for years !

In addition to be very often disappointing with TM, even during his prime at AZ Alkmaar

Its not a 1 man show. He can't do it all by himself. After Azmoun and Taremi, then Ezatollahi a few miles behind, the rest of our team is a bunch of players like Kanaani/Shoja/Milad/Hardani who aren't even on the level of Greek league. We're only recently starting to see more consistent contributors in TM with Mohebi/Ghaedi but even then half the team can barely mark a person! Same as how Son and Salah can't carry their national teams alone, Taremi can't either. You need 11 players and a decent coach before you can even look to blame individual players.

Saudi RB scored for Rome. As many goal as Taremi this season in much less time. Names like Mahdavikia and Daei don’t even belong in this thread anymore. Time to pack the bags!
