He completed the majority of his passes. He is playing against a team that hasn't conceded many goals this season and is parking the bus. Ultimately, what unlocked the defense was Lautaro's strike from outside the box, something Taremi is unlikely to do as he is more of a poacher in the box. The best part of the game to play is after the goal when the game opens up, when he can lay a ball through on a counter or be on the end of one to score a goal.

Other members have mentioned it before, but attitude helps with perception.

Look hungry. Start pushing some defenders around a bit. Keep your head up Taremi. Your time will come again!

Thuram and Arno come off the bench after mehdi. Both have 15-20 minutes to do something

So I watched until Taremi got subbed off.

It’s not that he had a “bad” game but rather he does not impose himself on the game. He does almost everything else right but sometimes you just have to be a selfish ahole and shoot from outside the box especially if your midfielders can’t create a single damn play.

There was maybe half a chance this game at best for inter as a whole and the goal Martinez scored was not one of them.

its still not over though for him. The schedule is incredibly congested and he will still be given many chances.

Hope you are not comparing Thuram to him! I know some people here did at the beginning of the year and even thought Taremi is better based on some goals in meaningless friendly games vs some 2nd/ 3rd league teams!!lol

He did receive a nice round of applause when he was subbed off. His effort is there (as noted by the applause and Inzaghi's prior comments)...just needs to execute the final phase and get those G/A.

He nearly had an assist (which was the smartest move in that crowded moment, rather than trying to shoot), if Lautaro's shot was just off center a bit and not directly to the keeper

He will be playing football in Dubai next season unfortunately. Inter is too big for him and he is mentally finished. I saw the same Taremi as I did in Qatar semi. A spectator on the field. Just giving safe passes and never taking a risk. Slow movement and unable to get into good positions in the box. The expression on his face, the body language… Maybe even serie a is too much for him. This was just a lower table club and he spent most of the game on his hands and knees.

Our boy just STARTED a game in Serie A and you guys are still complaining. Even if he gets a hat trick and two assists, some of you would complain that he should’ve had a haul.

No, if he had scored even 1 serie A goal we wouldn’t be criticizing him.
The fact is, he hasn’t, and he has had more than enough minutes and chances to do so.
He was stellar against AC Milan and showed a totally different Taremi, with gorgeous passing, touch, finish.
Unfortunately that version of himself seems to be dormant in 99% of the minutes he plays for Inter. This is why my feelings on him are conflicted, and I can’t make up my mind about whether he is even at this level.
I think the truth is, probably not. I say this because when you compare him to Thuram who creates chances out of nothing, is a menace in the box, or Lautaro who even out of form is scoring bangers, Taremi is one big step behind. He has his utility as a complementary striker to offload minutes from his world class teammates, but he himself is not of that caliber.

So if he scores one goal all this hate is gonna stop?

No, his issues are bigger than single goal. He scored last week but followed 20 minutes later with big sooti, then started 2 of next 3 games (against lower table clubs like our friends here wanted) but just gave some more sooti, hajsafi nasa shots, and overall performance was nothing special.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Debbie Downer ^^ here for once...Our boy seems to be "cooked" as the kids say these days. He got plenty of chances and couldn't do anything with them. Plain and simple. Aside from a moment of brilliance against AC Milan, he hasn't really done much of anything worth noting and has botched plenty of good goal scoring opportunities...a couple of elementary assists here and there...but I don't think that will cut it. At this rate, he might lose his role as 3rd striker in rotation to Correa or Arnautovic soon. Inzaghi has been really patient with him up until now. Hopefully none of this will affect his future TM performances because he's still invaluable to TM and one of the best we have.

                                P.S. - I really hope I am wrong.
