Solid and comfortable win away from home. Hopefully mehdi can start the home leg as they have a cushion

Is it a lack of service playing in a team that forgets the meaning of teamwork in the final third and Everyman is for himself OR lack of confidence OR carrying an injury we don’t know about? Our boy is firing on two cylinders.

A little bit of each but they don't pass to him, I just don't like the way this team plays at all

Although playing against lower oppositions, I guess we will have our answers in the next 2 WC Qualifiers!

What a contrast to the beginning of the season when he started against City in UCL.
From the highest peak an Iranian player has reached to being functionally invisible at the point of the season.
Inter could have been playing with 10 men and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Even with a congested schedule, I don't see any way for him to redeem himself enough to stay in the squad next year.

From what I'm seeing in Italian media and all the statements from Inter, it seems like he will stay but will most likely move to 4th choice. They will probably find someone more clinical for 3rd choice, and use Mehdi as Correa role (once in a blue moon sub to finish the game or cover for injuries)

If they get an offer for him from middle east they will 100% take it. italian clubs aren’t in position to say no to moft couple million euro.

And I don’t know what kind of donkey is in charge of Porto to reject 15-20 million euro offer multiple times for this player last season.

It must be incredibly frustrating for him to play in a team that he has no say, Not the first time they’ve taken the ball off him, this time with his manager’s assist!

Given his Kingdom-Porto experience where he was the main man bar the last few games, Inter is a different world to him. Not in his professional footballing nature or style of play to be selfish or arrogant but he should step up.

A player that scored two goals against England is not short of skills or game know-how in comparison with other Inter players.

To be fair, Taremi has had SC signal to take the ball out of his hands for a PK when he was at Porto (I don't recall who it was that took it, maybe Estaquio?). So he has the experience and confidence to get over this. If anything, it further cements Taremi's and Inzaghi's mind that he SHOULD have taken it instead of Zelinsky.

He did indeed, I saw that as well and I think it was mainly because Zelinsky hadn't score in UCL so far. That¨s what the commentator said.

He just had come on pitch..then take the PK? You must just have seen football from TV to request this for a player in his position and self esteem..

                              Yep
Watched the replay last night it was definitely Inzaghi’s decision ..!
he threw up. The numbers ✋👆five and two with his hands to suggest who he wanted to take the PK…!
probably gave it to Zelensky because Mehdi had just entered the game..!?
It was a Weak ass PK attempt too ..! 😆
Another goal thereCould’ve well wrapped up the Tie..!, Now they got another Contentiousfight on their hand when they get back for the return leg in Milan..!

                              ps
I thought he looked pretty sharp in In his role of preserving the lead..!
There was nothing resembling a decent service coming his way to expect him to latch onto For a goal ..so !
