Also no Amiri means we have no shape and consistency.

Don't worry PP will do anything but play youngsters frequently. When its summer time they will go on shopping spree buying all 29-31 year old left overs from other teams

        Some quick stats:

Roughly 10 years ago (Jan 30, 2015), Peresepolis played Zob Ahan and lost 1-0!

I did the math and the starting lineup's average age that day was 29.2 years old. The youngest player to start was Mahdi Tarmei who was 22.5 at that time.

Today, the average age of squad was 30.1 years old, and the youngest to start was Urunov at 24.1 years old. Next youngest was Khodabandelou at 25.4.

Now the funny thing is Persepolis changed their coach 3 times in 2014-15 (started with Daei, then went to Derakhshan, and finally Branko)... This was the beginning of our rebuilding phase.

I will run the age stats in the next couple of seasons to see how it played out for interest.

        History indeed does rhyme.

Pp and ss will never go young. But there is a limit too lol. 33 up is my recline with persian players starting, off the bench is different story.

And u were right about milad mohamadi
His legs are weak.after watching him play all the time now I realize what u been saying was right , since I only watched him in tm and not enough minutes to judge him.

Milad is a mixed bag. Offensively he doesn't have much going forward, he just goes beep beep with speed. Haj Safi was a much more stable player going forward and back as well, it's a shame he got so slow to the point of being outplayed last few years.

IMO now is perfect time to inject some blood into LB spot and look around at Goudarzi or 19 years old Reyvandi in Russia.

Hosseinzadeh not being a starting midfielder for TM is crazy, dude has 21 G/A and second half of season still remains, guy is in the form of his life. Why we keep playing 4-4-2 when we have so many talented midfield options baffles me.

                    I wanna see 4-3-3

                    Moharrami - Zare - Aghasi - Milad

                    Ezatollahi - Hosseinejad - Hosseinzadeh

Mohebi - Taremi (rotate with Sardar) - Ghaedi

Trust me bro I have done a lot of wild youth careers in FIFA but reality is there will never be a TM setup like this without a cultural facelift of the standards of the team.

Ezatolahi in a RCM or box to box?

A CB in Team Melli that is under the age of 27?

Sardar and Taremi are going to both play together until AC 2027.

We just dont have the standards for trying things outside the box or more progressive.

In roughly 26 yrs of watching Team Melli I have rarely ever seen us play a competent midfield that plays with a midfield that ran an expansive game against opposition equal to or better than us. Maybe 2004 Iran Korea and 2005 Iran-Japan.

Basically we get a pair of CBs and we are stuck with them for ~6-8yrs or we get a midfielder and then we are stuck with them for 10 yrs at least.

                      Depth is a foreign concept

Biravand will get cussed out from minute 1 to 90
It be interesting to see reaction against torabi and denial.

If pp don't win the league
                        MY SECOND CHOICE IS TERAKTOR.

not even worth 25 man roster call up.

Avg age of that lineup I put is 27.5 in 2026 btw lol, the fact its unlikely says a lot about our current condition

TBH I agree with you, but none of my suggestions in that lineup are out of the ordinary. From 2017-2021 most of our CBs were early to mid twenties. In 2018, Majid was a 21 year old. Kanaani was 24 and PAG was 25. Saeed and Nourallahi played starting in TM from early twenties till late as well.

In that lineup Saeed would be his usual holding role, I actually think that after watching both Hossein's play, they are both super versatile and can play either deep lying or box to box. I don't agree with some who say, Hosseinejad is bad defensively, I've watched him press in the few games I've seen in Russia and he's got a good sense and has developed a lot in the last year.

Before GN we also rarely played 4-4-2, Taremi usually played left wing in 4-3-3 if you remember under Skocic and on wings usually for CQ. In fact I remember vs Algeria we ran a similar lineup to what I put above, except Taremi was left wing and Sardar was striker. We played single striker vs Uruguay/Senegal/Japan/UAE and they have unironically been some of the best games I've seen from TM in last few years.

While we do have a cultural issue, this is 100% a GN thing for being incompetent and going the easy cheap route

That turn around is crazy he just needed to get to PP for people to see it. He spent 2 years benched for Haj Safi at AEK then Adana Demirspor sold him after half a season. He's okay, but he's nothing special. IMO LB, CB, and GK are most important spots in need of rejuvenation
