Sardar definitely has helped team melli for many years, which I’m grateful for. But we have to look to the future. He’s only 29 yrs old, going to UAE after playing in Bundesliga/Serie A.

It’s his life, but he’s making it very clear now that football is no longer his priority. Heck, even if he transferred to Fenerbache it wouldn’t be too bad, since they can still compete well against good European clubs.

But UAE? He should only come off the bench now.

Adding one of those players in alongside Eza and Ghoddos lets us press more and be more stable too. We love our little double pivot though . Anyone remember when we played really well vs Bulgaria in 4-3-3 last year? I think just having that extra midfielder gives so much more stability
Hosseinejad has raw potential - with the right coach he can be very special - moving to RPL for the bottom side is a risk - it could end up giving him a lot more playing time than zenit or red star could - or his team could just get smashed every game and he could lose confidence like Mohebi in Portugal was the case so im 50 50 on that move

For today he still is our best striker, we'll see what tomorrow brings and replace him if needed. No need to speculate, especially if our other options are also playing in shifty leagues with little to no big game experience.

Haha. At 29 humans are already in physical decline. In Serdar’s case he’s been out of shape for about 3-4 years even while working with top clubs. Add to that playing in a joke league with unlimited kabab and asb bazi to distract him and what will we get? An elephant or hippopotamus in 6 months? Har che zoodtar TM in dalghake bache naneye titish manani ra goor kone behtar.

He is mentally done with football. He is just trying to cash out end of his career. he keeps posting pics on instagram from barber shop getting hair cut etc everything is none football. I wish he had taken a page out of his boy friend's book, Dybala, who posts football related pictures and videos. that shows who is more serious about football.

He was not playing in Bundesliga and Serie A. He was a practice partner and a bench warmer. Nobody wanted him in those 2 big leagues and that is why he is in UAE. He wasn't going to accept poor wages playing in Dinky leagues as he had already done that for many years. At the age of 29, he had the option of cashing out in UAE or trying to revive a career playing for peanuts in a better league.

People compare him to Taremi. Mehdi took the money option for years while Sardar was toiling in Europe. Mehdi moved to Europe a rich man. Mehdi built into his contracts a portion of his contract fees...that is why nobody bought him.

he looks a classic case of Gol-nazan striker internationally..!! a lotta hustle and good defensive and general intangibles offensive contributions w/o much if any goals/production to show for it..!!

from very limited TM viewings, i think id actually prefer Asadi over him as a frequent call-up...! more adaptable to different positions, better stamina and workrate, much better defensively... and just about as proficient as moghanlou in terms of finishing touches..!!

id take Shahaab over both any day of the week..!! that dude certainly possess that star-striker class, size and general skill-set , although wildly inconsistent in his performances..!!
